Today my topic is about food, and the core of today’s class is noodles. I will analyze the lesson from the six parts:
teaching procedures
Part 1 Analysis of the teaching material .
The required material is the first class of this unit—Unit 10 I’d like some noodles, from Book7B. The topic of this unit is food, and the core of today’s class is noodles. The target language is the expression of ordering different kinds and different bowls of noodles. The vocabulary is quite large, but some words especially some names of food have appeared before. So, there are not many difficult words, and Ss can absorb the knowledge quite easily.
Status and functions
The topic of this unit is about food, and the core of today’s class is noodles. It is from unit 10 of < go for it> the second semester of Grade7. This is an interesting topic for students .
So all the activities in this unit are helpful to raise students’ learning interests. As we all know, the interest is the best teacher for students .This unit includes two sections (Section A and Section B).
I will finish section A from 1a to 2d in this period. Let students learn happily and easily. All the activities in this lesson are designed to help Ss consolidate the language points in this unit.
Part 2 Student analysis
This session will be conducted among the students of Grade 7, who have already acquired some knowledge and listening skills in English at the beginning level. However, it is quite difficult for them to focus on the whole class. Different kinds of activities should be designed to attract their attention.
Part 3 Teaching aims and demands
1. Knowledge objective
2. Ability objective
3.Moral objective
Topic-related language: learn to use new words and expressions like beef, noodles, cabbage, would like and so on.
learn to use the statements to express one’s will, like I would like…
Aware the importance of cherishing food and make a promise—eat all you take
Language focus and anticipated difficulties
The focus is to absorb the target language: what kind of noodles would you like, what size bowl of noodles would you like, and expressions of different kinds of noodles.
The difficulty is the usage of “would like” and how to put the target language that they have learned into practical use.

PPT Make the material easier and more vivid to learn
Blackboard design Highlight the target language knowledge
In my opinion, the main instructional aims of learning English in the Middle School is to develop the students’ abilities of listening, speaking, reading, writing and their good sense of English language. So in this unit, I’ll mainly use “Communicative” Approach(交际教学法), “Task-based” language teaching (任务教学法). The Situational Approach(情景教学法) .
Part 4 Teaching methods
Most of the students are from the countryside, and most of them are poor in cooperative learning skills. Some students are not active in class, and some students don’t like English. Therefore, I’ll make Ss get the knowledge actively by probe study and cooperative study and let the Ss pass "Observation—Imitation—Practice " to study.
