Teaching procedures
Step1. Warm up
1. Greeting
T: Hello, class. How was your sleep last night
Ss: It was good.
T: I slept well, too. So I am energetic.
Ss: Me, too.
T: Now let’s get down to our business.
Ss: OK.
Step2 Presentation
1、Pre-reading:
(1)Watch a video T: What’s the video about T:What do you know about space
(2) Learn the new words Present the picture of space, learn the words about space: spaceship、astronaut.
2、While-reading
(1). Look at the pictures.
T: Who was in Ann’s dream
(2) First-reading
T: Read the passage quickly and answer questions: Where were they
T: Talk about these two pictures.
(3)The second reading
T: Read the passage again, and answer these questions: What does the Mars look like Let’s read and underline the key information.
(4)The third reading Look at the pictures, and answer questions: How about Martians
(5) The fourth reading
T：Listen to the tape, and try to imitate the right pronunciation, tune and information.
(6) The fifth reading
1. Act the dialogue out
T: Who’d like to act as Ann and Ken Ss: I’d like to have a try.
T: Great.
Ss: Role play.
2.T: Try to fill in the blanks.
Ss: Try to retell the passage.
Step3. Post-reading
1. Talk about your dreams.
T:This is Ann’s dream, What do you think of Ann’s dream Interesting
Question: What was your dream
2. Write a passage about your dream.
Step4. Summery
T: I think everyone has a different dream; maybe it is sweet, sad. Maybe it is interesting or scared. But when you grow up, do you still remember the dreams Ok, here is a “memory postbox”, you can put your dream in your dreams, save your innocence.

Ann had a dream last night. She and Ken were in her dream. They were in the space. They were on Mars. It was very cold on Mars. Yes, the Martians were friendly.
