一、教学背景
本节微课主要围绕外研版新标准四年级英语下册Module 3 Unit 2 What’s the elephant doing 活动二的语篇内容为载体引入知识点——现在进行时的教学。学生在第2模块已经学习到了现在进行时,本课重在引导学生归纳现在进行的用法并能进行实际运用,掌握肯定句的句型结构和动词加ing的变化规则,以及常用的缩写形式。
二、教学目标:
1.理解句型“What is/are … doing ”的用法,掌握并运用句型“It is / They are / I am + 动词ing”描述自己和他人正在做的事情。
2.掌握基本的动词变现在分词的变化规律。
3.能根据人称使用正确的be动词。
4.了解缩写形式。
5.通过趣味性的情景呈现,激发学生学习和探索的意愿。
三、教学重难点:
1.对不同人称对应的be动词的正确使用。
2.掌握如何把动词变为现在分词。
3.将所学句型运用到实际当中。
四、教学过程:
1.Warm up
(1)Greet the students: Hello! Kids! This is Ruby. Welcome to my class. Today we are going to learn Module 3 Unit 2 What’s the elephant doing
2.Prensentation
(1)Amy and Daming are going to the zoo. Let’s watch and answer:
What animals do they see
What are they doing
(2)Students watch the video, find out the animals: the elephant, tigers, the bird and the horse.
(3)Present the sentences from the conversation:
It’s drawing pictures.
They’re jumping.
It is singing.
It’s jumping.
T: Yes, these verbs are all with “ing”. This Present Continuous Tense. It’s about how we talk about things that are happening in the present moment. We are inside the moment.

(4)T: Let’s look at the sentence structure:
“She” is the subject; “is” is the be verb; “reading” is the verb with “ing”.

(5)T: The “be” verb changes with the subject.
3. Practice.
(1) Ok, let’s make the sentences.

4.Summary
T: In the Present Continuous Tense, the verb is in the “ing” form.
Here are some spelling rules.
(1)-ing reading, eating
(2)去e + -ing making, dancing
(3)double consonaut + -ing running, swimming

5.Practice time
