Interview With God
I dreamed I had an interview with God. “So you would like to interview me ” God asked. “If you have the time,” I said. “My time is eternity.” God smiled, “what questions do you have in mind for me ” “What surprises you most about humankind ” God answered, “That they get bored with childhood; they rush to grow up, and then long to be children again. That they lose their health to make money... and then lose their money to restore their health. That by thinking anxiously about the future, they forget the present, such that they live in neither the present nor the future. That they live as if they will never die, and die as though they had never lived.” God’s hand took mine and we were silent for a while. And then I asked, “As a parent, what are some of life’s lessons you want your children to learn To learn they cannot make anyone love them. All they can do is to let themselves be loved. To learn that it is not good ycy to compare themselves to others. To learn to forgive by practicing forgiveness. To learn that it only takes a few seconds to open profound wounds in those they love, and it can take many years to heal them. To learn that a rich person is not one who has the most, but is one who needs the least. To learn that there are people who love them dearly, but simply have not yet learned how to express or show their feelings. To learn that two people can look at the same thing and see it differently. To learn that it is not enough that they forgive one another, but they must also forgive themselves.” “Thank you for your time,” I said humbly. “Is there anything else you would like your children to know ” God smiled and said; “Just know that I am here always.”

A.God does exist in the world.

C.When one makes a mistake, he should try to find an excuse to forgive himself.
D.It is easier to lose a friend than to make a friend.

A.invite people to believe in God
B.present people’s wrong attitudes to life and give advice on how to live happily

Not only farmers but scientists have studied weather forecasting. People, for many centuries and in all countries, have studied the weather and tried to make weather forecasts. Sometimes distant objects such as hills and tall trees seem to be very clear and near. This is a sign of much water-vapor in the air, and therefore a rain will probably come.
When distant sounds(such as the noise from a train, birds singing, or people shouting) are very clearly heard, then wet and stormy weather is on the way.
Rings around the sun is a sign of coming rain. Many people feel the coming of wet weather in their bones Their joint(关节)aches. Some birds fly high if fine weather is coming, but they fly very near the ground if rainy weather or a storm is on the way. This as probably because the insects which they are hunting, fly low at that time. If you see a rainbow during rainy weather, this is a sigh that the weather will clear up and become fine. Such rainbows come in the evening if the stars twinkle clearly at night, fine weather will come continue. If a mist appears in the early morning, just about sunrise, the day will be warm.
If the sunset is mostly red in color, the following day will be fine. When big cumulous clouds(积云)appear at sunset, the bad weather will follow the next day.
If circus clouds remain quite still, fine weather will come. If a rainbow appears in the morning, then rainy weather will probably come. Most of the above sayings have been made up by people who have used their eyes and their brains to forecast the weather.

Easy Ways to Keep Your Brain Sharp
Everyone is forgetful, but as we age, we start to feel like our brains are slowing down a bit—and that can be a very annoying thing. 36 Read on for some techniques worth trying.
1. 37
People who regularly made plans and looked forward to upcoming events had a 50 percent
reduced chance of Alzheimer's disease (早老性痴呆症), according to a recent study.
38
Something as simple as setting a goal to have a weekly coffee date with a friend will do. There's evidence that people who have a purpose in life or who are working on long or short-term goals appear to do better. In other words, keep your brain looking forward.
2. Go for a walk.
Mildly raised glucose (葡萄糖) levels can harm the area of the brain that helps you form memories and physical activity can help get blood glucose down to normal levels. In fact, exercise produces chemicals that are good for your brain. 39
3. Learn something new.
Take a Spanish class online, join a drawing club, or learn to play cards. A study found that mental stimulation (刺激) limits the weakening effects of aging on memory and the mind. But the best thing for your brain is when you learn something new and are physically active at the same time. 40 Or go dancing with your friends.

During this past year, I’ve had three instances of car trouble. Each time these things happened, I was sick of the way most people hadn’t bothered to help. One of those times, I was on the side of the road for close to three hours with my big Jeep. I put signs in the windows, big signs that said NEED A JACK (千斤顶), and offered money. Nothing. Right as I was about to give up, a Mexican family in a small truck pulled over, and the father bounded out.
He sized up the situation and called for his daughter, who spoke English. He conveyed through her that he had a jack but that it was too small for the Jeep, so we would need something to support it. Then he got a saw (锯子) from the truck and cut a section out of a big log on the side of the road. We rolled it over and put his jack on top, and we were in business.
I started taking the wheel off, and then, if you can believe it, I broke his tire iron. No worries: He handed it to his wife, and she was gone in a flash down the road to buy a new tire iron. She was back in 15 minutes. We finished the job, and I was a very happy man.
The two of us were dirty and sweaty. His wife prepared a pot of water for us to wash our hands. I tried to put a $20 bill in the man’s hand, but he wouldn’t take it, so instead I went up to the truck and gave it to his wife as quietly as I could. I asked the little girl where they lived. Mexico, she said. They were in Oregon so Mommy and Daddy could work on a fruit farm for the next few weeks. Then they would go home.

作文 1
Recently I have made an investigation on whether the first examination in Senior Three should be difficult or easy. The students have different opinions.
Some students think that a difficult exam is just like a challenge. The harder, the better. It can help students to find out where they are weak in studies and improve their learning approaches.
Others, however, are against a difficult exam. In their opinion, if it is very difficult, they may become discouraged and feel terrible about the coming College Entrance Examination. Besides, with an easy exam, they can get high marks and gain confidence.
I prefer it to be neither too difficult nor too easy, because if it is too easy, teachers will not know how we are getting on with our studies, but if it is to o difficult, we will lose heart.
续写:
When I was about to say goodbye, the girl asked if I'd had lunch. I told her I hadn't had lunch because I'd been waiting here for help for nearly three hours. The girl said they didn't have lunch either. She suggested to her parents that we have lunch together. Their truck happened to have some food and some things for the picnic. So we ate together in a vacant lot by the side of the road. During that time, I told about what had happened to me and how I felt. They shared interesting stories about their lives in Mexico and on fruit farms. After lunch, the girl's mother put a paper bag of fruit in my Jeep. I showed my gratitude again and we said goodbye to each other.
After they left, I got into my Jeep and opened the paper bag. There were some delicate fruits in the paper bag. I was surprised to find the money I had quietly left to them. At the same time, there was a note written by a girl, which read “We are very happy to be able to help you. We have encountered many difficulties and been disappointed. But we met a lot of helpful people, which made us feel very warm. To help others with one's own ability is also a kind of lifting a finger. The beauty of life comes from these lifting a finger. I hope you have a good life and a happy mood.” This made me very moved, and I would try my best to help more people in the future to make our world more beautiful and warmer.
