三，教学过程
Step1 Warm-up
T: A fairy tale is an old ,traditional story.In this unit we have learned some fairy tales. Look at the pictures, do you know these fairy tales? Tell Ss their English names and lead in reading aloud. Then tell them: Today we will continue learning another fairy tale ---Hansel and Gretel.
Step2 Before reading
T：Before you read ,decide what kind of text it is. Is it a letter, a play(剧本) ,a short story or something else? Make Ss pay attention to Scene.
Step3 While reading
Fast reading: Let Ss read the play and answer the questions:
1)How many people are there in this play?
2).Who wanted to kill them?
3).Who came up with an idea to save themselves?
4).Were they lost at the end? What did they find?
Check the answers with the class.
Careful reading: 1.Let Ss read Para1 to finish the mind-map.
Show Ss the mind-map, lead them to understand the story lion.
2.T: Now let’s read the play carefully and try to match each description below with the correct scene.Then check the answers with the class.
3. Make Ss read Scene1-3 again and anwser the questions.
Then show the mind-map.

5.Lead Ss understand the main idea of the play. Learn the spirit of the brave. Then make them enjoy a video of Hansel and Gretel, pay attention to different kind of mood and intonation.21cnjy.com
Step4 Acting
Shoe an actor wanted to the students in order to arouse students’ interests. And choose the best actor,the best actress and the best group. Bofore they act, Let them write the key words of the scene that they will act out.
Step5 Quiz
Let Ss complete the summary of the play.(P48), Then check the answers.
Step6 Homework
