一、教学目标：
1、 能够正确使用下列单词：journey, book, outside, choice, however, cost
2、能够运用形容词、副词的最高级形式对几种交通方式进行对比。
3、通过快读和细读理解课文大意并找出细节信息，提高有关交通方式话题的阅读技能。；
二、教学重难点：
1、能够理解有关旅游和交通工具的文章。（重点）
2、能够正确运用形容词、副词的比较级和最高级。（难点）
三、教学过程：
Step One: Warming-up
Check the words and spell them
(1)Show pictures to get the students fill in the blanks with right words.
eg: journey, book, outside, choice, however, cost
(2)Organize them to read the new words together.
2.Free talk.
Ask the students to talk about the ways to go to a city that they like to visit in pairs.
(1) How do you get there
(2)What’s the cheapest way to get there
(3)What’s the best way to get there
Step Two: Learning new lesson.
Listening.
Ask students to listen to the passage and find out the main idea for the passage.
Skimming
Ask students to skim the passage and do Activity 2.
Step three: Complete the question.
Work in pairs. Read the article again and complete these questions.
Where does the writer plan to travel
How many ways of travelling does the passage tell us What are they
Which is more expensive,a journey by train or by coach
Which is the most comfortable way to travel
Which is the cheapest way to travel
Which is the fastest way to travel
Complete the table
Check the answer with your partner.
Step four: Complete the passage
Ask the students to read the words in the box in Activity 4.
Ask the students to read through the passage in Activity 4.
Complete the passage with the correct form of the words in the box.
Listen to the answers from the whole class.
Step Five: Summary
Sum up the language points.
Step Six: Home-work
Finish the homework about this lessons.

教学过程中要让学生针对问题思考，进而找出答案，而不是急于给出答案，在以后的教学中应当注意这一点。
