Module 1 Unit 1
教学目标 (本节课的教学目标主要从英语学科核心素养的四个方面进行分析)
语言能力
(1)学会以下新单词,能够正确发音并理解其含义:discuss, wise, review, influence, make sense, by the way, suppose, well-known.
(2)理解并掌握本课的目标语言,听懂并会运用一般现在时的被动语态。
a. Their works are still read by many people today.
b. We’re still influenced by Confucius’s ideas.
2、学习能力
(1)通过结合本节课的话题,预测听填信息将要听填的单词。
(2)能听懂并理解关于名人和名著的对话,抓住关于名人名著的关键信息。
(3)能使用所学的单词和目标语言谈论自己喜欢的名人名著。
3、思维品质
(1)通过观察、发现一般现在时被动语态的结构。
(2)通过感受、了解孔子文化,培养批判性思维。
4、文化品格
(1)初步了解西方国家一些著名的作家及其代表作。
(2)通过感受孔子文化的作用和影响力,肩负起学习、传承和发扬中华民族传统文化的责任。
二、学情分析
1、教学内容
本课选自New Standard English 教材的九年级上册第七模块第一单元。该单元的功能话题是围绕名人、名著展开的。本节课的主要内容是以一般现在时的被动语态为载体谈论名人、名著,着重感知一般现在时的被动语态。
学生情况
本班学生的英语基础较为扎实,思维活跃,开口能力较强。他们对本模块的知识有一定
的基础认知,但由于从未系统学过被动语态,所以要理想地完成听说任务有一定的难度。
教学条件
本人对任务型的语言教学操作模式有一定的尝试,善于设计安排、组织开展任务型活动。
本校拥有多媒体教学设备及云课堂教学平台,本人也能熟练地使用多媒体教学技术,因此本节课使用了多媒体和云课堂平台辅助教学。
三、教学重难点
1、教学重点
(1)理解并掌握本课与名人名著相关的词汇。
(2)感知并简单运用一般现在时被动语态结构谈论自己喜爱的名人名著。
(3)通过交流与他人交换、分享思想。
2、教学难点
通过听来捕捉关于一般现在时被动语态结构的关键信息。
四、课型及教学方法
该课为功能对话课,侧重于听说技能训练。本节课采取以学生为主体的任务型语言教学法,以任务为中心,学生为主体,教师为主导,教师创设情境,布置任务,安排活动,学生参与活动,完成任务,达成教学目标。
五、教学任务及活动

任务1: Discuss why a book can be regarded as a great book. 小组内讨论、发表个人意见。 全班内分享见解。 老师分享个人的观点。 通过讨论分享,学生能充分表达个人意见,增强学生的自信心并学会思考名著的价值。 学生初次感知含有一般现在时被动语态结构的句子。
任务2: Learn three great men and their great works. 听录音,了解三位名人的国籍。 听录音,获取关于一般现在时被动语态结构的信息完成表格。 再听录音,更进一步地了解三位名人及他们的影响力。 听力任务的题型与中考题型接轨,学生有更多的机会在课堂上通过操练掌握答题技巧;听力的难度层次递进,可以有效培养学生的预测及获取关键信息的能力。
任务3: Talk about our favourite great writers and one of his/ her books. 口头演讲关于“我最爱的作家及其作品”。 学生根据创设的情境,结合个人实际,运用所学进行分享,以提高学习英语的兴趣和提高英语口头表达的能力。
六、教学过程
Task 1 Why can a book be regarded as a great book

Lead in 2 Mins Whole Class Listening 1. Greet the students. 2. Write down the topic of Module 7 on the blackboard. 1. Greet the teacher. 2. Read the topic of Module 7 together.
2 Mins Group work Speaking and Listening 1. Show a question on the PPT and ask the question: “Why can a book be regarded as a great book ” 2. Share ideas by presenting sentences on the PPT and read the sentences: It is read by many people; It is discussed by many people; It is loved by many people; Many people are influenced by it. 1. Listen to the teacher and discuss the question in groups; then share their ideas in class. 2. Listen to the teacher and read the sentences together.
1 Min Whole Class Speaking 1. Show the book Confucian Analects and teach students to read the name of the book. 2. Ask students a question: “What is the book about ” 3. Show the picture of Confucius and teach students to read his name. 4. Write down the title of Unit 1 on the blackboard. 1. Look at the book and read the name of the book after the teacher. 2. Answer the question. 3. Read Confucius’s name after the teacher. 4. Read the title of Unit 1 together.
活动意图 引发学生对名著的思考,以帮助学生明确在面对种类繁多的书籍时,如何选择好书。此外,学生通过阅读老师呈现的含有一般现在时被动语态结构的句子初步感知一般现在时被动语态。
目标达成 学生讨论的热情较高,所提出的观点较中肯,客观。
Task 2 Learn three great men and their works

Step1 2 Mins Whole Class Listening and Speaking 1. Show pictures of William Shakespeare, Mark Twain and their works Romeo and Juliet and The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. 2. Teach students to read the names of the two great men and their works. 1. Look at the pictures of the great men and their works. 2. Read the names after the teacher.
Step 2 2 Mins Whole Class Speaking 1. Show the three great men’s pictures again and ask students: “How much do you know about them ” 2. Add some more information about the three great men and learn some words: wise thinker,plays, poems, many works. 1. Say something they know about the three great men. 2. Listen to the teacher carefully and learn the words.
活动意图 通过呈现三位名人及其名著的图片学习本节课的话题。通过提问,激发学生兴趣和已知,以营造良好的课堂气氛。通过师生间相互分享关于对三位名人的了解,为下一步的听力任务扫清了部分生词的障碍。

活动意图 通过设置与中考听力题型相符的听力任务,学生有更多机会接触和操练到平时测试时失分率较高的题型。学生通过听前读题,提高预测对话内容和答案的能力。学生通过完成听力任务,既能进一步了解三位名人及其作品,还能培养获取关键信息和记笔记等听力技巧。此外,还可更多地接触、感知一般现在时被动语态的结构。
目标达成 在本任务中,学生能够在听的过程中获取关于三位名人的国籍和其代表作等方面的信息;基本能在听的过程中抓住关键信息和关注到一般现在时被动语态的结构以完成表格。

Step 1 3 Mins Individual work Listening and Reading 1. Assign students to read Conversation 3 after the recorder. 1. Listen to Conversation 3 with their earphones on their ipads and read after the recorder .
活动意图 学生通过跟读,可以进行语言输出,为下一步的分享输出做好铺垫;同时,学生通过在平板上按照自己的进度和实际情况进行跟读、模仿,可以学习更地道的语音语调,体现了学生在信息技术手段辅助下的个性化学习。
Step 2 8 Mins Individual work Listening and Speaking 1. Show the following questions which are supposed to be included in students’ speaking. The questions are as follows:① Who’s your favourite great writer ② Where is / was he / she from ③What do you think of him / her ④ Which book of his / hers do you like best ⑤ How does the book influence you 2. Listen to the students carefully. 1. Read the questions on the PPT quietly and then prepare their speaking according to the questions. 2. Share their favourite writers and books in front of the whole class. The left students listen to the invited student.
活动意图 通过创设真实情境,学生可根据自身实际分享自己喜爱的作家和作品,既紧扣本模块的话题,也能给学生提供开口说的机会和平台,更能让学生之间相互学习。
目标达成 学生能紧扣主题,围绕老师所提的问题来踊跃分享自己喜爱的作家和相关作品;同时,其他学生也在倾听他人的过程中提高了听的能力和促进了学生间的共同学习。

Add some more information about Confucius’s ideas and show pictures of Confucius Institute around the world; tell students the influence and importance of his ideas. 4. Read the introduction of Confucius and his ideas; look at the pictures of Confucius Institute around the world and learn about the influence of Confucius’s ideas. 4. 活动意图 通过拓展孔子文化、孔子学院在世界各地的普及情况,让学生发自内心地感受到中华民族传统文化的影响力和价值,从而肩负起传承和发扬中华民族传统文化的责任。
目标达成 学生的课外知识得到了拓展,也增强了学生的民族自豪感和作为炎黄子孙传承中华民族精髓的使命感。
Step 4 1 Min Individual work Thinking Show the Self-assessment Chart to the students and keep quiet. Finish the Self-assessment Chart on the Cloud Class to check what they have learnt in this lesson.
活动意图 自测表是学生个性化学习的一种检测方式,可帮助学生根据自我情况对课堂学习情况进行回顾、总结和反思,也是教师了解课堂教学有效性的手段。
目标达成 通过云课堂平台的数据表明,本节课对大部分学生而言,有效性是较高的;学生也通过自测,进行课后复习、梳理和再巩固。
