教材 内容 分析 本模块以“事故”为主题,涉及交通事故、人被毒蛇咬伤等内容。学习本模块有助于使学生认识到注意安全的重要性,为他们掌握一些基本的急救措施提供帮助,也有助于提高学生应对突发事件的能力。 第一单元的对话是由詹姆斯老师亲眼所见的一起交通事故引出的。自然导入了过去进行时这一语法项目。 第二单元的课文介绍了一位厨师被蛇咬到手并及时用手机拍照进行自救的事件,语言地道幽默。向学生说明了遇到突发事件时应该沉着冷静尽力想办法自救。 第三单元把前两个单元出现的知识点和重点句型进行概括性的归纳和总结。它既复习了我们学过的知识内容——基本的词汇,过去进行时(与when,while引导的状语从句连用)的用法;又锻炼了学生的交际能力和口语表达能力。同过“偶然事件”这一话题贯穿听力材料和阅读材料,在培养学生听说读写的语言综合运用能力的基础上,使学生的学习有了方向性,能更好的掌握知识明确学习目标。
学情 分析 对于八年级的学生来说,部分学生已经有了一定的英语学习基础,同时也掌握了一定的应对突发事件的能力和是非分辨力,但总体上来说还比较少。意外或偶然事件与学生的生活紧密相连。这是一个基于现实生活,只能引导学生在课堂上发挥丰富的想象力,把课堂模拟成生活,置身于英语学习中,提高语言交际能力。本课为复习单元,因而词汇量和信息量可能会偏大,加之学生英语成绩的分化比较严重,所以要求学生能课前认真做好预习,借助网络和书籍,培养自学能力;教师在预设的任务中,注意引导学生在交际中动态生成,学生有话可说,乐于合作分享。这样就有利于他们更好的运用课本知识,达到提高综合运用语言能力的目的。这样就有利于他们更好的运用课本知识,达到提高综合运用语言能力的目的。

Ability objective 1. To improve the students' listening skill. 2. To improve the students' reading speed and understanding ability. 3. To learn how to describe an accidental event according to the writing instruction.
Moral objective Enhance students' awareness of paying attention to safety. To help them master the basic knowledge of first aid. To improve students’ ability of dealing with contingencies.

Step 1 Warming up (合作预习、 巩固基础 热身导入、 目标明确) 1. Do some exercises about the key words and key phrases. 2. Check the answers . 3. Free talk: Ask students to watch a video ,and talk about the video in pairs. 通过根据句意及所给汉语提示写出句中所缺单词和词组,巩固本模块词汇,检测学生的掌握情况,为后面的学习奠定基础。 2. Free talk环节通过对于视频中“交通意外”的讨论,既锻炼了学生的口语表达,又使话题成为本课学习的线索贯穿始终。
Step 2 Grammar and speaking (自主学习、 复习检查) Show some pictures. Let students practice the usage of past continuous tense and “when”&“while”. Ask the students to do some exercises to consolidate the usage of past continuous tense and “when”&“while”. Check the answers 通过图片激发学生兴趣,并在看图造句中,锻炼学生对语法的掌握情况。提高学生的语言表达能力。
Step 3 Listening And Reading (合作探究、 梳理剖析) I. Listening 1. Listen to an accident report and choose the right answer. 2. Check the answers II. Reading 1.Read a report about an accident and complete the table. 2. Check the answers 1.指导学生进行听,抓住关键信息,提高听力水平。 2.通过阅读,训练学生从文中搜索信息的能力,提高学生的阅读水平。同时,让学生通过阅读文章,认识到注意安全的重要性,提高学生应对突发事件的能力。 3.通过任务型阅读,让学生了解,在描述一次“偶然事件”时,需要从事件发生的时间、地点、人物和结果等多方面进行。为后面的书面表达奠定基础。
Step4 Out-put (巩固提升、 学以致用) Writing Let students look at the pictures and complete the sentences. Ask the students to learn some skills about writing. Ask the students to write a composition about A traffic accident. 通过看图、讨论、完成句子,让学生已经能够对于交通事故这一话题有话可说,知道如何表达。“学以致用”,为下一步的写作打下了基础,降低了难度。之后要求学生完成作文,这样就有利于他们更好的运用已学过的知识,达到提高综合运用语言能力的目的。
Step5 Summary (归纳整理、 总结反思) 1. Choose and show some compositions 2. Ask the students to summarize what they have learned today. 经过了前面大量阅读和写作练习让学生总结收获,为以后的成长打下良好的基础。
