reply 与answer 的区别:
reply ,意为“回答;答复”。较正式的、经过考虑后的答复,它作不及物动词,不可以直接跟宾语。接宾语时必须与to连用。如 “ reply to the question” 对问题的回答。
answer 也有“回答,答复”的意思。用法比较广泛,可指口述或笔写的答复。它可以直接接宾语,如 “answer the question”。也可表示对电话、敲门等作出“应答”
