(2)sit down意为“坐下”,其反义短语是stand up,意为“起立;站起来”。

[探究]本句中的Class 3也可写作Class Three,首字母要大写,且顺序与汉语正好相反。注意:英语中,表达某人“在几年级几班”时,应该是小单位班级在前,大单位年级在后;并且Class,Grade的首字母和后面数字的首字母都要大写。询问某个人在哪个班,要用“What class is/are…in?”例如:

old表示“……年龄的,……岁的”时,常与year(s)连用,即“基数词+year(s) old”。基数词大于1时,year要用复数形式,有时基数词后的years old也可省略。对年龄提问常用how old,意为“多大年龄;几岁”。

(1)how many用于询问可数名词的数量,后接可数名词复数,意为“多少”。例如:

(2)“There be+某物/人+地点.”表示“某地有某物/人”。
[注意] be动词的数应该和它后面的名词保持一致,当be动词后有两个或两个以上的名词时,be的形式则和第一个名词的数保持一致。例如:
