Unit 3 Family Matters Developing Ideas：Reading 教学设计
教学目标
1.Knowledge and skill objectives: let students understand and master the basic grammar rules of subjunctive mood, and be able to use them flexibly in specific language environment and daily communication. 2.Process and method: Through the combination of teacher guidance with student inquiry,through the combination of grammar practice and language practice activities and through the combination of task-based teaching and situational teaching, students can build grammatical functional knowledge and apply it to practice to find and solve problems. 3.Objectives of emotion, attitude and values: cultivate students' autonomous learning ability, enhance students' sense of cooperation, improve students' language analysis ability and their correct understanding of things, and form a correct outlook on life and values.

教学重点：Make students understand and master the rules and basic principles of subjunctive mood in if-clause.
教学难点：After learning, students are able to use this grammar item to complete some subjunctive mood tests, and are able to use it flexibly in actual language activities.
教学过程
Teaching procedures： Step 1:Greeting. Step 2:Look at some pictures and some sentences about the Subjunctive Mood in If-clause. Step 3: Try to draw a conclusion from these sentences: If I were you, I would be more nervous than you. If I lived in Chongqing, I would enjoy hot pot every week. If I had gotten up earlier, I would have visited HuaYing mountain. If I had had more time, I would have presented this lesson better. Step 4 Situational learning (1) If I were given one more chance now, I would say to the girl, “I love you.” If I had to set a time limit to our love, It would be 10,000 years. (2)If my friend weren’t busy, we would go to see the new film. (3)If Coronavirus hadn’t broken out three years ago, we would have gone out without masks. (4)If air crash hadn’t happened on twenty first, March, they would have returned to reunion with their family. Step 5 Group work(Consequences Chains) Choose one topic and make some sentences with the subjunctive mood in if-clause. For example: If I had a million dollars now, I would travel around the world. If I travelled around the world, I would send post cards to my friends. If I sent post cards to my friends, more people would become my friends. If more people became my friends, I... Topic one: If I were the headmaster of our school, … Topic two:If the cellphone had never been invented, … Possible version for topic one: If I were the headmaster of our school, I would provide healthier food for students.
