动名词是动词的一种非谓语形式，仍旧是动词，但是不能做谓语
v.+ing
它在句中起名词的作用。
主语，表语，宾语，定语
Grammar: 动名词
作主语：泛指某动作或行为。
Getting up early is a good habit.
Fishing is Tom’s favorite hobby.

动名词和不定式不可互换情况①：
Seeing is believing.
To see is to believe.
当表语是动名词，主语也要用动名词；当表语是不定式，主语也要用不定式。
不可互换情况②：
It’s no use doing…
It’s no good doing…
It’s a waste time doing…
It’s no use going there. He won’t be at home.
It’s a waste of time arguing about it.
在下列句型中，一般用动名词
It’s important…
It’s necessary…
It’s important to learn foreign languages.
It’s necessary to read it many times.
在下列句型中, 只能用不定式。
②作表语
Her job is looking after children.
Seeing is believing.

avoid(避免), admit(允许), consider(考虑), delay(推迟), advise(建议), enjoy, practice, keep, finish, escape(逃离), mind(建议)，prefer(宁愿)…to, object to (反对)
既可以用动名词又可以用不定式作宾语的动词有：
continue, forget, hate, like, love, plan, regret, remember, start, try, want, need, can’t afford
加动名词和不定式作宾语的含义不同：
I forgot to close the door before I left the room.
I forgot having closed the door.
