三、教学过程
Step 1 Warming up
Watch a video about a family, and ask Ss to share their feelings.(3 minutes)
Step 2 Lead-in
1. Show some pictures to Ss and ask which family they like best and the reasons.
2. Ask Ss to answer these questions. (3 minutes)
(1) Do you have any brothers or sisters
(2) Can you get on well with your family
(3) Who do you ask for help when you have problems
Step 3 Pre-reading
Show the picture in 3a and ask Ss to predict some information.(2 minutes)
1. What’s the problem with them
T: They argue with each other.
2. How do you feel when they argue
T: Sad, nervous, terrible, upset...

Read the letters quickly and discuss these questions.(2 minutes)

I. Listen and read the first letter carefully, then complete the table with your partner. Please underline the sentences. (3 minutes)
II. Listen and read the second letter carefully, then complete the table with your partner. Please underline the sentences. (3 minutes)
III. Read the letters again，then work in pairs to find words which have the same meaning in the letters. Last, make a sentence using each word or phrase. (3 minutes)
