教学目标;
语言知识目标:
1、学习单词: November, December, January, February, easy, remember ;
2、学习在具体语境下使用句型when is … It’s in…;
3、学会理解和运用有关节假日的话题表达形式。
语言技能目标:
1、能听懂课堂指令和要求并作出适当的反映;
2、能对自己喜欢的月份作出简短的叙述;
3、能根据老师的提示表述并写出简短语句和文章。
情感态度: 通过谈论月份与节日的关系,从而培养学生用英语说话的兴趣。
文化意识:通过谈论节假日来了解中外文化差异。
学习策略:让同学积极与他人合作,共同完成学习任务。
学情分析
五年级的学生具有对英语学习有持续的兴趣和爱好的特点。在本课教学之前,学生已经学习并能比较熟练的表达出例如New Year, Children’s Day, Christmas, the Spring Festival, National Day等一些节日和March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October 8个月份的表达法。
重点难点
1. 较长单词November, December, January, February, remember的教学;
2. 句型when is … It’s in…的使用。
教学过程
【导入】Warm-up

【讲授】Revision
1. Quickly Review: 用单词卡片对已经学过的月份和节日进行快速复习。
(单词包括:March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, New Year, Children’s Day, Christmas, the Spring Festival, National Day,)
2. Game1: Let’s guess. (通过猜关于节日的谜语引出单词Christmas 和 the Spring Festival);
3. Game2: Quickly response
用PPT上快速闪现的方式,再次巩固复习已经学过的月份单词。

1: 教授新单词
(1)教授单词November
T:These words are all about … Months! Yes. So do you want to know what’s my favorite month So how can you ask Yes! What’s your favorite month Please ask me!
Ss: What’s your favorite month
T: My favorite month is November.
教授November,运用“锤子剪刀布”和造句的两种方式操练单词November并板书。
造句:Last month is November.
My birthday is in November.
(2) 引入句型When is … It’s in….
T: My birthday is in November. (问一个学生) Is your birthday in November too No So when is your birthday
板书句型When is … It’s in….
(3)听课文回答问题
T:(PPT上放出Ben的照片)Who is he Yes, it’s Ben. Do you want to know Ben’s favorite month Now let’s listen to the CD-ROM together.
( PPT上出现问题What's Ben's favorite month A: September B: May C: December)
(4)教授单词December
T:So when is Ben’s favorite month A, B or C
T: Yes. December.
用 two by two 朗读的方式教授单词December并板书。
(5)教授单词 easy 和 remember
T:Can you find some similar parts between November and December
Ss: They all have the big letter. / They all end with “ember”. So it’s easy to remember right
用Simon says游戏的方式教授单词easy.
用 分小组朗读的方式操练 remember.
(6)教授单词 January
让学生再听一遍录音,回答When is Ma Li's birthday 问题
T:(PPT上出现Ma Li的图片) Now who is she Yes! She is Ma Li! So when is Ma Li’s birthday Let’s listen to the CD-ROM again and answer this question!
教授单词January并板书。
(7)教授February
通过让学生看黑板朗读November, December, January,并问学生what is the next one 引出February 这个新单词,并进行操练和板书。
(8)让学生通过January 和 February两个单词的对比,再次巩固it’s easy to remember 的短语。
(9)通过歌曲来巩固单词:
January, February
January, February
It’s easy to remember
November and December!
老师示范唱一遍,学生唱两遍。
2. 教授句型
(1)连线;
运用新句型 “When is … It’s in…”对黑板上Christmas , The Spring Festival, Thanksgiving Day三个节日进行提问,请学生回答并到讲台上把相应的节日与月份连线。
T:I want a student to come here to match the day and month. And other students let’s ask together!
在讲到春节的月份时,展示2013和2014年的日历,让学生明白The Spring Festival is in January or February!
(2)句型巩固;
通过 Magic Box 的游戏,让学生先猜出节日,并对这个节日进行提问 When is … 然后把节日与相应的月份“钥匙”相匹配,以此打开装有得分的“百宝箱”。
3、课文教学;
(1)学生跟读课文;
(2)根据课文内容填空。(对回答对的学生说“one point for you”,等本环节所有内容都填好后,老师每组依次询问“how many point have you got?”)
【活动】Practice
先根据老师出示的图片提示,完成关于老师喜欢的月份的一篇小短文。接着同学根据老师所给的提示词,模仿老师的范例写一篇关于自己喜欢的月份的小短文。并在班级中进行交流。
