学情分析
五年级的大部分学生对英语有着较浓厚的学习兴趣,但也有少数学生由于遇到困难,学习兴趣会随之减弱。在上一课的教学中,他们已经学习了介词with, beside, behind, on的用法,句子Who’s that boy Which boy The tall boy beside Wang Tao.这些都为本课的教学打下了基础。
重点难点
1重点:能用所学形容词描述人物特征。
2.难点:能用方位介词表达他人所处的位置。

T: Do you know the tall boy Who is he That’s Peter .Do you want to meet Peter Welcome Peter and his friend Wang Tao.
S1:Hello! I am Wang Tao. This is Peter. He is a new pupil.
S2:Hello,I’am Peter. I’m from Australia.
T: Peter is a new pupil .He is from Australia.
Who is the boy beside me Who is the boy beside XX
Who is the boy behind me Who is the boy behind XX
复习pupil, Australia, beside, behind
Peter is a tall boy, but Wang Tao is a short boy.
复习tall 单词引出short单词。
【讲授】Presentation
(一)教授单词short, long, hair, 句子Who’s that girl Which girl
The girl with short hair.
1.教学short。
教师指向几个学生:He is a tall boy. He is a short boy.
尺子:This is a short ruler.
铅笔:This is a short pencil.

尺子:There are two rulers. This is a short ruler, but this is a long ruler.

6. Play a game. 说反义词。
(二)教学句子Come and play basketball with us.

T: Peter and Wang Tao, what are you talking

T: Do you want to play (全体学生)
Ss: Yes.

T: Playing basketball is a good hobby, but don’t talk in the class.
打篮球是个很好的业余爱好,但是请不要在课堂上讲话,及时对学生进行教育,提醒学生保持注意力集中。

2.角色扮演。

5、情感教育。教师在PPT上出示句子:We are a big family. We should get along well with our friends. 帮助学生理解它们的含义,并告诉学生:“我们是一个大家庭,我们要相亲相爱、友好相处。”
6、总结,评价。

1.听录音,熟读本课内容。
2.完成《活动手册》中本课的练习。
3.为自己的爸爸或妈妈画一幅画,并用英语标注他们的特点。
