一、教材内容分析:
本节课是Unit7: The adventures of Tom Sawyer中的Reading部分。本单元以“汤姆·索亚历险记”为话题,以马克·吐温的不同作品为主线。本篇阅读文章是《汤姆·索亚历险记》中的一个故事——汤姆漆栅栏。该故事讲述了汤姆在担心被同伴嘲笑和完不成漆栅栏的任务的双重压力下,设计了一个“圈套”,即让伙伴们对这项苦差事产生浓厚兴趣,争相用自己的东西来交换漆栅栏的机会,从而不露痕迹地完成了自己的任务,还得到一堆东西。故事情节精彩紧凑,体现了作者诙谐、幽默的写作风格。文章共有14个段落,根据故事的发展顺序,可以将它分为三个部分:第一部分为故事的开端(第1-3段),讲述了故事发生的时间、地点等信息,也描述了汤姆·索亚设计“圈套”的原因;第二部分为故事的发展(第4-13段),讲述了汤姆·索亚如何一步步实施“圈套”,让伙伴们替他完成任务的过程;第三部分为故事的结局(第14段)——汤姆·索亚得到了很多玩具,栅栏被漆了三遍,他的姨妈高兴地奖励了他。因此在教学的过程中,我把阅读文章的三个部分单独进行阅读,每一个部分的阅读都制定不同的教学活动,从而达到让学生充分掌握教学内容的目的。学生可以利用网络,提前预习课文,了解相关背景知识。
二、教学目标:

1.掌握阅读文章中的重点单词和短语。
2.理解文章所讲述故事的情节、故事主人公汤姆·索亚的“圈套”和他的性格特征。
【过程与方法】
1.运用略读、精读等阅读策略,了解阅读篇章的信息。
2.分析故事的基本要素,了解故事的情节发展。
【情感态度与价值观】
体会英语诙谐、幽默的表达方式,增强学习与阅读英美经典文学的兴趣。
三、教学重难点:
1. 重点:(1)掌握核心单词和短语。
(2)了解故事的情节,分析汤姆·索亚如何实施他的“圈套”。
2. 难点:找出故事的时间、地点、人物、起因、经过和结果等基本要素,了解故事
的情节。
四、教学策略:
1.采用的教学方法:reading and discussion, speaking and listening, pair work, explaining and practicing. 通过一系列的方法,主要引导学生带着问题去阅读并讨论,锻炼他们的听、说、读的能力。
2.教师教的方式:提出问题—引导阅读—分析讨论。充分发挥学生的学习自主性,教师只起到引导的作用。
学生学的方式:略读—精读—思考—讨论。锻炼学生分析和解决问题的能力,帮助他们培养阅读技能,掌握阅读技巧。
3.辅助教学的手段和媒体:多媒体、图片、短片。
4.课前准备:《汤姆·索亚历险记》和作者马克·吐温图片、文中对话角色扮演短片。
