单子句子知识详解
一·. Many students ask for advice about how to improve their English.
许多学生询问关于如何提高他们英语的建议。
1.ask for 请求(给予)…...
2.ask sb. for sth.请求某人给予......
3. ask sb. to do sth.要求某人做某事
Eg. 他向老师寻求帮助。
He asks his teacher for help.
老师要求汤姆早点来。
The teacher asks Tom to come earlier.
一. Many students ask for advice about how to improve their English.
how to improve their English 是“疑问词+动词不定式”结构, 在句中作介词about的宾语。
疑问词how,what,who等后接动词不定式,在句中常作know，teach，understand
decide 等动词或about等介词的宾语。
【例】We can't decide what to do next. 我们不能决定下一步要做什么。
They are talking about how to get there. 他们正在讨论如何到那里。
知识拓展
当“疑问词+动词不定式”结构作宾语时,通常可以转化为宾语从句（陈述句语序）。
Can you tell me how to use the camera = Can you tell me how I can use the camera
你能告诉我怎样使用这部照相机吗

improve动词,意为“改进;改善”
名词improvement意为“提高;改进;改善 。
【例】We tried to improve ourselves in many ways and we' re glad about our improvement.
我们尽力在很多方面提高自己，我们对我们的进步感到高兴。

二. Each time you will learn something new. 每次你都会学到新东西。
each time意为“每次”。
【例】He had three tries and failed each time.
他尝试了三次,每次都失败了。
【知识拓展】each time意为“每次”时，还常用来引导时间状语从句,相当于every time.
【例】Each/Every time I see Kate ,she is singing. 我每次见到凯特,她都在唱歌。
I visit my teacher each/every time I go to Washington.
我每次去华盛顿都会去看望我的老师。
二 Each time you will learn something new. 每次你都会学到新东西。
something new意为“新的东西”。
形容词new后置，修饰something。
当形容词修饰something ,anything,somebody ,anybody等不定代词时,形容词应放在它们后面。
【例】Did you get anything special on your birthday
你生日时收到了什么特别的东西吗
三. I also advise you to talk about the films or songs with your friends.
我还建议你和你的朋友们谈论一下这些电影或歌曲。
【8】advise动词，意为“.....提出意见;忠告;建议"。
advise 的常用结构:
(1). advise doing sth. 建议做某事 Nobody advised leaving. 没有人建议离开。
(2)advise sb. （not）to do sth. 建议某人做某事
They advised us to leave.他们建议我们离开。
(3)advise+宾语+介词（on/about）.... 在...方面对某人建议
◆The doctor can advise you on health.医生会就你的健康提出建议。
区别.advice 与advise
Many students ask for advice about how to improve their English.
I also advise you to talk about the films or songs with your friends.
advice “建议”是不可数名词， advice on/about... (关于）...的建议
a piece of advice 一条建议 several pieces of advice几条建议
e.g. In the report, the medical expert gave the old_____________________ on how to keep healthy.
医疗专家在报告中给老年人几条保持健康的建议。

四 I am shy and I am afraid to speak to her.
我很腼腆,不敢和她说话。
be afraid to do sth.害怕（不敢）做某事
be afraid of doing sth.
be afraid +that从句.
五. I write down new words, but I forget them quickly.
我把生词写下来,但是很快就忘记了。
quickly副词,意为“快地;迅速地”。形容词quick意为“快的;迅速的”。
【例】
Tom had a quick look at the paper and remembered the answers quickly.
汤姆迅速看了一眼试卷,快速地记住了答案。
You need to finish your homework as quickly as possible.
你需要尽可能快地完成作业。
六 It is natural to forget new words! 忘记生词是正常的! 。
①本句为“It+ be+形容词+ to do sth."结构,意为“做某事是...的”。
其中it为形式主语,真正的主语是后面的动词不定式短语。
②在表示“对某人来说做某事是怎么样的”时,要用
“It+ be+形容词+ for sb. to do sth.".
【例句】It was difficult for him to finish the work on time.
对他来说,按时完成这项工作很难。
七. I suggest you write four or five words a day on pieces of paper and place them in your room.
我建议你每天把四五个单词写在纸片上,并把它们放在你的房间里。
suggest 动词,意为“建议;提议”。
suggest doing sth. ,意为“建议做某事”。
suggest+that 从句（从句要用should+动原，should可省略）

【例】I have a suggestion and I suggest walking home.
我有一个建议，我建议步行回家。
