Teaching Aims: Guide the students to introduce the topics of high school study and life. Stimulate students' interest in the topic,and warm up for the whole unit.
Teaching important Points: 1.Lead the students to master the key words and the phrases of this part. 2.Guide the students to understand the daily learning and life of British middle school students.
Teaching difficult points: Stimulate students’ interest in the topic, and lay a good foundation for the next unit study. Guide the students to compare the learning and life of Chinese and English schools based on their own daily to find the similarities and differences between the two.

Lead-in 1. Task 1. Task2. Summary Homework Greet the whole class as usual. Lead the students to watch the video and understand the main idea of the video, so that they can quickly extract the key information from the video and introduce the theme. Step l:Organize students to brainstorm and introduce their school. Step 2:Play the video and ask the students to watch and try to answer the questions. Step 3: Play the video again and ask some students to share the answers. Check the answers with the whole class. Step 4:Ask the students to discuss in groups,find and summarize the similarities and differences between Chinese and foreign high school study life. Questions: what do these students do at school How is this school different from your school Answers: 1.They have four classes every day and do practical work. They often have a quick snack and catch up with friends, and then have lunch at 12:55.Some pupils also participate in after-school activities and clubs. 2. Students' own answers. Step 1:Let the students read the questionnaire and complete the questionnaire independently. Step 2: Ask the students to work in groups and share their answers. Step 3: Ask the students to select a representative from each group to report the questionnaire status of the group. Step4: Ask the students to talk about their impressions of the new school. Step5:Organize the whole class to classify the results of the questionnaire survey to cultivate their ability to summarize information. First day of school questionnaire Welcome to senior high!
