It falls on the fifth day in the fifth month of Chinese calendar. People remember Qu Yuan on that day,and it is also a time for family to get together. People often celebrate it by eating Zongzi and watching the dragon boat races.
To make Zongzi, people need to have one kilo glutinous rice, some reed leaves , half a kilo beef , some Chinese dates, and some strings. Here is one way to make it. First, put the glutinous rice into the clean water for at least 3 hours and cut the beef into pieces. Next, shape the reed leaves by hand . Then, fill the reed leaves with glutinous rice, Chinese dates and beef. After that, tie the Zongzi with strings. Finally, put Zongzi into the hot pot and steam for about an hour.
