9. too much 太多
【点拨】too much意为“太多”。如:

【辨析】too much与much too
(1)too much可以作形容词,用来修饰不可数名词,意为“太多”,有时名词可省略。如:
There were so many people and too much noise in the hall that I could not hear you.
大厅里有太多人和吵闹声以致于我听不到你。
此外,too much也可作副词,放在某些动词(如:talk, thank, disturb, walk等)后面或这些动词的宾语后面作状语,表示程度,意为“过分;太”。如:
