第四部分写作(共两节,满分 40分)
第一节(满分 15分)
One possible version:
Ladies and gentlemen, Good afternoon!
I feel greatly honored to share my favorite drama with you:The Million Pound Bank Note.
Written by Mark Twain, an American author, the drama is mainly about two millionaire
brothers who made a bet on whether a penniless person could survive for a month with a million
pound bank note. As a consequence, Henry, the poor and honest hero, was chosen and experienced a
series of ridiculous things.
What attracts me most is the vivid and ironic language, which gives me insight into the nature
1
of people. (或者 What impresses me most are the detailed descriptions of different people’s
behavior before the bank note.) So I highly recommend it to you all and hopefully you can give it a
try!
That’s all! Thank you!
笫二节(满分 25分)
One possible version:
After thinking about it long and hard, the boy went home and asked his father what he should
do. Staring at the puzzled boy with a slight smile, his father said, “My boy, I know it is a very
important decision for you. Just follow your heart, and you are bound to make the right choice.”
Nodding slowly, the boy lost himself in thought. After sitting with it for a whole day, the boy
finally turned in the same paper, making no changes at all. He stated, “You can keep the F and I’ll
keep my dream.”
Twenty years passed and last summer, Ms Green brought 30 kids to camp out on Monty’s ranch
for a week. The kids had a wonderful time in the vast ranch. They rode horses, admired the
beautiful buildings, even played games in the big house. Before leaving, Ms Green apologized to
Monty, “Sorry! As your teacher, I was something of a dream stealer. ” She said with shame,
“Fortunately you had enough courage to hold on to your dream.” Monty smiled, saying, “Ms Green,
it is just the F that encourages me to achieve my dream. Thank you!” Hearing this, Ms Green smiled,
her face wet with tears.

museum is just opposite the library.
Text 3
W: How will you go to Shanghai
M: I prefer to take the train to save money. What about you
W: By car. We needn’t bother to carry luggage.
Text 4
M:What are you learning in English class right now
W:Well, we have to learn the meanings of ten words each week. And we’re going to read a
Shakespeare’s play for the next six weeks.
M:Oh, we learn five more words than you.
Text 5
W: Ouch! I just got attacked by a bee! I'm allergic to bees. You need to take me to the hospital right
away. Don't forget to grab the dog! He's over there by the lake.
M: Stay right here while I get the dog and the car!
Text 6
M: Your guitar playing sounds beautiful. You must have played for a long time.
W: Actually, I’ve only taken guitar lessons for a year. I played the piano since I was five years old
until last year when I turned sixteen. But I always wanted a guitar, and I finally got one for my
birthday. I’ve played every day since then!
M: That’s great! I always wanted to have a guitar, but I never did. Neither of my parents plays
music. So they didn’t think of getting me a musical instrument. I played a lot of sports instead.

M: Where did you go when you left the cafe
W: A record store. I wanted to buy some magazines there. Oh, please, sir, you’ve just gotta help me

Text 8
M: Can you tell me what happened this morning, Mrs Jones
W: Well, 2 hours ago, that was around 10:00 in the morning when I was doing the dishes. Then,
soon after that, I was polishing the table. I thought I heard a noise, but I was really concentrating on
the polishing, so I didn’t take much notice.
M: What happened next
W: I was cleaning the living room, around 10:15, when I heard someone upstairs. It sounded like
they were looking for something in my cupboard. About two minutes later, someone ran down the

Text 9
M: I can’t believe this. I have been on the phone with my bank all day and they still haven’t fixed
my problem.
W: Is it a credit card problem
8
M: Yes. My credit card information was stolen. When I got my bill in the mail, I saw there were
many unfamiliar purchases on it.
W: That’s terrible. Did they take a lot of money
M: Yes, and I am very upset because the bank is not helping me quickly. I have talked to many
different managers already.
W: Doesn’t the bank’s owner need to make the decision to give you your money back
M: No. I just have to prove that these purchases were not made by me.
W: I hope you can fix this problem soon. Something similar happened to my husband’s mother
recently. She was tricked into giving away some important information over the phone.
M: I think the person who stole my information got it from the Internet. I bought a collection of
movies recently. I won’t be doing that again unless the website is sure to be safe. It’s honestly my
fault for being careless.
W: You can never be too careful. Well, your problem is inspiring me to look into protecting my
account better. I think I can pay my bank more to help me.
Text 10
Now we have a program for those who love acting. This program gives young actors the experience
of developing complex characters and performing a full-length production while receiving top-level
training. Each actor will receive a role and will be given time to shine on the stage at the end of the
week. Children aged between 13 and 18 can take part in the program.
The play is written by Lisa Nanni-Messegee. Todd Messegee will be the director. On the first
Monday we meet, actors act for some time to find a suitable role in the play. By the end of the day,
they begin developing characters and learning about the play. This continues through mid-week,
along with focus on specialty skills that may be needed in the production. On these days, they’ll
receive some training on acting. By Thursday, the actors are running the show off-book and
memorizing their material. By Friday, the whole group is performing on stage, in a recorded
performance. A digital copy of the performance will be shared with actors after the program is
complete. This is a very exciting challenge for any actor! It’ll begin on July 26th and end on 30th.
Practicing time is from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm every day. Only ten will be admitted. If you’re
interested, contact us early. Due to safety restrictions, space is extremely limited in each age group.
Registering early is recommended. Register by June 5th for $10 off.
