V Major steps:
Step 1 Lead-in (5mins)
At the beginning of the class the teacher will show a short video about a musical cartoon SING. After watching the video, the teacher will show some sentence to describe the content of this cartoon and invite some students to put them into one sentence by using Attributive Clauses.

Then the teacher will ask a question: “Do you like music ”
(Justification: The video is vivid and interesting, which can arouse students’ interest to the teaching activity. Meanwhile, it can also lead to the topic today naturally.)
Step 2 Pre-writing(10mins)
Brainstorming
The teacher will ask three questions and ask students to think about relevant words and expressions. In this process, the teacher will ask students some questions and guide them to use some relevant expressions.
Q1: What kind of music do you know
Q2: How do you feel when listening to music (Play different kinds of music)
Q3: Why do you like this kind of music
Guessing Game
The teacher will ask students to write a brief introduction about their favorite music without mentioning the name of the music. Then the teacher will invite some students to share their favorite music and let other students to guess.
(Justification: Through these two activities, students can learn and practice some words and expressions about music, feeling and reasons. Besides, the guessing game can attract students’ attention. These activities can also make preparation for writing part.)
Order and analysis the text.
The teacher will show students an article about one’s favorite music which is disordered. Then the teacher will ask students to work in pair to put them in order. After that, the teacher will guide students to analysis the structure of this text. The teacher will also guide students to pay attention to words in red color. (Attributive Clauses)
(Justification: Through these activities, students can discover the structure of this text by themselves which will impress them a lot.)
Step 3 While-writing (20mins)
1.Outlining
(1) The teacher will ask students to write down their ideas (just key words) according the form in the textbook.
(2) The teacher will ask students put the ideas they have just written down into sentences and in order. (The teacher will show some expressions to help students.)
2. Drafting
Students will write their own composition, and the teacher will walk around to offer help.
(Justification: Through above two activities, students will finish their writing and their writing ability will be improved.)
Step 4 Post-writing (10mins)
1. Editing
(1) Self-editing: The teacher will give students a short time to go through their writing to correct mistakes in spelling and grammar;
(2) Peer-editing: Students will exchange their passage with each other and correct mistakes in spelling and grammar; They can also give suggestions about polishing with each other.
2.Display and Evaluation
The teacher will invite some students to share their passage to the whole class and
guide other students to evaluate these passages, then the teacher will make a
conclusion.
(Justification: Through these activities, students will regulate their language and work out better ideas or expressions, and they will improve their writing skill. Besides, they will be more willing to share their ideas in public and learn from each other.)
Step 5 Summary & Homework (5mins)
1.Summary
The teacher will ask students to act as an assistant teacher to conclude what we have learned this class. Then make a summary together.
(Justification: Reviewing the important knowledge in this lesson can deepen students’ impression and form good study habits.)
2. Homework
Write an article about your favorite movie and share with your classmates text class. (Using Attributive Clauses)
(Justification: This homework can guide students to use sentence patterns that we have learn today and improve their writing ability.)
