Teaching aims:
1. Using nouns to identify different means of transport E.g. train, bus, car, van, bicycle, ship
2. Using imperatives to catch other people’s attention E.g. Listen!
3. Using Wh-questions to find out specific information E.g. What do you hear
Key points:
Words: train, bus, car, van, bicycle, ship Sentence pattern: What can you hear I can hear… Difficult points:
The pronunciation of some nouns e.g. train, ship, van..
Teaching aids:
A tape recorder, the computer and some pictures
Procedures
Pre-task preparation
Remind the students the vehicles learnt before.
1. Daily talk: How are you today What animals do you like
2. Show the pictures of animals.
1) T: What can you see in the picture
S1: I can see a …...
2) Show the pictures of a street with several vehicles such as a bus and a van on it. Ask the students to look at the picture and answer my questions:
T: (Point to s bus) Look! What can you see
S1: I can see a bus.
T: (Point to a van) Is this a bus
S1: No, it isn’t.
T: Right. It’s a van. Ss: Van. Then teach these new words: car, van, bicycle, ship.
3) We can see with our eyes. We can hear with our ears.
While-task procedures
1. Show some pictures and sounds: Listen, what can you hear
2. Q: what can you hear in the street
1) Learn the words: train ship bus bicycle
2) Spell the words.
3) Guess the words.
4) Answer the questions.
5) In pairs, one student imitates the sound of a vehicle makes and asks his or her partner to guess what vehicle it is.
S1: (Imitate the sound of a train) What can you hear
S2: I can hear a train.
S1: Yes, it’s a train.
) Consolidate the new words by playing a missing game.
7) Watch the video. Look and say out the sentences.
8) The students listen to the tape and repeat.
3. Show a vehicle: bus
1) Listen, what’s coming
2) How does the bus go
3) Where does the bus stop (bus stop\wait for )
4) Read the sentences.
4. The same teaching as the bus.
5. Listen and read after it.

1.老师用课件引导学生重新呈现故事,小组合作进行操练,并上台展示,其他同学倾听并评价。
2.课件展示Robot 图片,Kitty ,Eddie, Alice 和Danny4个小朋友观看Robot Show的场景,对学生进行思维品质教育:公共场所人多的地方要有序排队,不要推挤。
3.Robot game:小组4人合作,扮演机器人进行
游戏问答:Can you hear ... Yes, I can./No, Ican’t.
4.老师课件展示机器人并告诉学生:
Boys and girls, Do you like story Let’s enjoy.
播放课本内容的视频进行学习和小结。
