单元主题:Asking and showing the way

教学理论
《义务教育英语课程标准(2022年版)》指出:“英语课程的实施要充分发挥核心素养的统领作用,以主题为引领选择和组织课程内容,以语篇为依托融入语言知识、文化知识、语言技能以及学习策略等学习要求,以单元的形式呈现。“2022版课标”的课程六要素新增了“主题”和“语篇”两个要素,并突出了单元整体教学的重要性。单元整体教学过程的设计要先从整体安排教学环节,形成单元框架结构。(王建平,2020)无论是单元整体框架,还是课时教学,都要有学生的学习活动作支撑,围绕单元学习重点、促进单元目标的达成,因此学习活动要体现整合性和纵深行。
二、单元内容分析
围绕单元主题,深挖各课时话题,在单元大任务(Asking the way)的统领下,划分成四个活动:活动一:了解城市设施,礼貌问路,认识地图,明确方位;活动二:规划路线,精准指路;活动三:运用科技,精准定位;活动四:学会欣赏了解国外建筑及位置。整合教学内容和资源,明确单元总目标和课时分目标,设计问题解决的任务清单。这些内容与学生的日常生活紧密相联,学生乐于学习,易于掌握。同时,这个话题又建立在之前所学单词和句型的基础上,让学生新旧结合,不断积累。
语篇一词汇和对话融合课,属于子话题“Asking the way”是小学生日常生活对话。教材通过Wu Binbin和Mike想要去自然科学博物馆和邮局,询问并回答关于城市设施位置的问题,引导学生友好互助。
语篇二是一节词汇课,教材通过Wu Binbin,Robin和Mike讨论设施位置展开,谈论位置进而描述城市设施,以及如何指示道路。

三.学情分析——知识基础、认知(心理)特点、生活经验等
经过三年的英语学习,六年级的学生已经有了一定的英语学习基础,且基础较扎实。本单元的教学主题是Asking and showing the way。询问地点的句型:Where is the ... 以及回答所需要的方位介词on/ in/ under/ near/ next to/ in front of/ behind/ between ...在四、五年级的教材中已经学过。本单元需要掌握的词汇science, right 和post 中的office也已经学过,这些旧知都为本单元的教学奠定了基础。 在日常生活中,六年级的学生已经能够有礼貌地问路或为别人指路,也能够在迷路时寻求帮助。

(一)、语篇研读
What:本课语篇为小学生日常对话,内容围绕如何到达某个目的地而展开。Wu Binbin打电话给Mike约他一起看电影,看完电影两人决定去一家意大利餐厅吃饭。最后Robin告诉了二人如何到达这家意大利餐厅。
Why:该语篇通过描述Wu Binbin和Mike两人讨论出行的目的地、如何到达目的地,然后Robin给二人指出路线来引导学生学会在出行之前要提前了解路线做好安排,培养独立自主的品质;同时也引导学生学会描述路线,培养助人为乐意识。
How:该对话是比较典型的学生日常生活对话,涉及介绍生活中常见场所的词汇,如cinema, restaurant, park, bookstore, hospital, street; 询问和指引路线时使用的核心语言,如“Where is the ... It’s next to the ...on ...street”,“How can we get there Turn left/right at the...”。在表达时使用的都是一般现在时,学生在前面的课程中已经熟练掌握该时态。该对话情节简单,易于理解,具有现实意义和教育意义。
