教学目标
1.知识与技能:谈论缓解学习压力的活动类型,学会表达自己的观点,并能对别人的困境提出解决的办法和建议。 2.过程与方法:听前运用“头脑风暴”让学生谈论relaxing activities,适当补充;听中运用“有针对性听取信息”让学生着重听取表达烦恼、及提供建议的目标语言;听后运用“情景交际”策略,结合1a-1d谈论Wei Ming是怎样谈及烦恼、寻求建议,进行话题拓展。 3.情感态度与价值观:通过学习,教导学生正确看待生活中的各种压力,教会学生学会在课余之际适度的放松自己,做到劳逸结合。同时,通过了解国家“双减”政策,教导学生提高自己的学习效率及质量,关注自我的心理健康,建立正确、积极的生活态度和价值观。
教学内容
教学重点: 1. 能询问、陈述自己或他人的困难和麻烦talk about problems。
2. 能针对别人的困境提出解决的办法和建议give advice。
教学难点: 1. 谈论学习中常见的问题和缓解压力的活动。
2. 能根据真实情景比较不同的建议,找出最可行的缓解压力的办法。
教学过程
Step 1:Lead in Use a video to interest the students and lead in the topic :stress.And then relate the topic with students themselves by doing a class survey and let them share the ways they always use to lower their stress.At the same time comes the brainstorm to activate their vocabulary and pave the way for activity 1a as well. Step 2:Pre-listening After finishing the first step,it becomes easier for students to order the eight relaxing activities and add some other ones.And the picture on the right is a good example.Activity 1b can be used to let students share their answers and express something they’ve just learned.(personal presentation) Step 3:While-listening Move the focus from students’ own stress or problems to another boy named Wei Ming.Listen to the material to find out what problems he has and check them in the activity 1c.According to the conversation,Wei Ming’s friend Alice gave him some advice in order to help him solve these three problems.So for activity 1d,reorganize the task to make it clearer to fill in the missing words of her advice.And then check the answers personally. Step 4:Post-listening After the tasks in the textbook,deal with the listening material to emphasize the the ways to talk about problems or pressure and give advice to lower stress.What’s more,let students develop the habit of imitating the native speakers’ pronunciation and intonation and try to experience their emotion.Activity 1e requests students to give Wei Ming their own suggestions,so there’s a design that imagine students are one of his friend and make a further conversation with him.(pairs presentation) And task 1 is a retelling part which is designed to improve the goal language from words, phrases, conversations to a whole passage.As eighth-graders, the listening activities and listening material are kind of easy for them.Therefore,expanding the topic is necessary.Because of the heated discussion about the new policy”Double Reduction ” which has strong relation with children’s daily school life,it’s a good choice to add the policy here.Also ,it can help students keep thinking about the current news as well as developing their thoughts.At first,show an interview to see the effects on peers and then transfer the topic to themselves:”Does the policy lower your stress ”Next,let students discuss in groups and share their opinions and then show them by debating with each other.At last,make a conclusion to make students know it’s normal to have some pressure in daily life,but do regard it correctly and find the most suitable way to lower the stress and learn to relax! Step 4:Homework Based on different students,different homework are designed.
