What do people do on Qing Ming Festival
People will pay respect to their ancestors(祭拜祖先) and pray for family proserity(繁荣). In some places, people eat Qing Tuan — a kind of green glutinous(黏的) rice ball on Qing Ming Festival. Because during the time of Qing Ming, the bright sunshine brings everything back to life, so it is the best time to go out and enjoy the beautiful scenes outside.

Step 1 Work in a group of four.
Step 2 S1 tells a fact about Qing Ming Festival using the sentence

语法重点:宾语从句
一、概念
由一个句子充当宾语(位于动词或介词后),
我们称之为宾语从句。
e.g. I know the answer.(名词做宾语)
I know him.(代词做宾语)
I know that Tom gets the answer.
(句子做宾语, 叫做宾语从句)
宾语从句的三要素:
1.宾语从句的连接词
that, if或whether, 特殊疑问词
2. 宾语从句的语序
永远都是陈述句语序
3. 宾语从句的时态变化
主句是一般现在时,从句可以用任何时态.
主句是一般过去时,从句必须是过去时态的
一种(客观真理除外)
宾语从句的时态变化
主句是一般现在时,从句可以用任何时态.
主句是一般过去时,从句必须是过去时的一种

但当宾语从句叙述的内容
为客观真理时,仍然用一般现在时。
注意:时态不变
当引述的是客观事实、科学真理、现在习惯工作以及格言等内容时,时态不变:
He said, “Light travels much faster than sound.”
The teacher said to us, “the earth goes around the sun.”
He said light travels much faster than sound。
The teacher told us (that) the earth
goes around the sun.
二、宾语从句的连接词(引导词)
1. 由陈述句变化而来用that引导, that可省略;
2. 由一般疑问句变化而来, 用if或whether引导;
3. 由特殊疑问句变化而来, 用该特殊疑问词引导。

1.当由陈述句充当宾语从句时,用that引导
注:that 在句中无词汇意义,在从句中
不能充当成分,在口语当中往往省略

(1). 介词后用whether
(2). 句中有or not时
(3). 在不定式前
(4).引起主语、表语、状语从句

3.宾语从句表示特殊疑问句意义时,由连接代词who, whom, whose, which, what或连接副词 when, where, how, why引导

在宾语从句中,当主句的谓语动词为think/believe/expect/imagine/suppose等时,如果主句主语为 I(we)时,从句中表否定意义的not应移到think / believe /expect / imagine /suppose这些词前。
eg:I don't think he is right .
I don't suppose he will come .
注意:主语是其他人称,not不提前。
