I want to sing, but I wasn’t confident.
confident 是形容词，意为“有信心的”。
常用搭配有be confident of sth/ that …意为“ 确信…” 例如：You are a strong and confident person.
你有强烈的自信心。
I am confident that you can pass the exam.
我确信你能够通过考试。
e.g.
confident名词形式是confidence, 构成短语have confidence in sth./sb., 表示“对……信赖”。
He answered the question with confidence.她有把握地回答了那些问题。
e.g.

dream of 表示“渴望、向往……”，
后常接名词或动名词。
