Step1.Free talk
T: What day is today
S: It’s Tuesday.
T: What’s the weather like

(设计意图:通过自由谈话,为学生创设轻松、愉快的学习氛围,并由此引出复习环节。)
Step2.Revision:
T:We can do a lot of things in spring. I like riding a bike. What do you like doing
S: I like skipping/ running/ dancing/flying a kite…
T: We can do a lot of sports in spring. Today let’s talk about sport.
T: Let’s have a mach. If you can do well , boys will get boy players and girls will get girl payers. At last , if you have enough players, you can set up your football team, basketball team and volleyball team.
(设计意图:通过谈论春天里孩子们喜欢做的事情,复习I like doing…这一句型,为后面的新授句型Do you like playing… 这一难点扫清障碍。同时出示本节课的评价机制,激励孩子积极主动地参与到活动中来。)
Step3.New lesson
1. Learn the words.
A. T: Yesterday, you learnt the new words at home
Who wants to be a teacher.
Ask the students to teach the words : football, basketball and volleyball.
The teacher supervises.
a. In England, we call it football, but in America, we call it soccer.
b. Famous cartoon: Slam Dunk. Ask a student to do the action.
c. Two kinds of volleyballs: Indoor volleyball and beach volleyball
B. Talk about the preview task:
a1.How long is the …game
b. How many players are there
c.Who’s your favorite player.
C. Expand some other sports: table tennis, badminton, tennis, diving.

(设计意图:在单词教学的基础上,拓展学习其它运动类词汇,并请学生搜集和整理了球类运动的相关资料,拓展了学生的知识面,丰富了学生的视野,也为后面的语言交际提供了丰富的素材。)
2. Learn the drills.
A. After learning the word football, the teacher says,“The man likes playing football. Do you like playing football ” Help the students understand the meaning of the sentence . And help them to answer with“Yes, I do./ No, I don’t.”
B. After learning the word basketball, the teacher help the students to say the feelings: It’s fun/interesting/easy/relaxing/cool.
C. After learning the word basketball, ask the students to make the dialogue:
-Do you like playing…
-Yes, I do. /
No, I don’t. I like playing…
-Why

3. Practice
A. The teacher says, “I like sports .Now, I’m not a teacher, I’m a reporter of CCTV5. I want to interview somebody.”

B. Ask the students to interview me and show the report “My favorite sport”. And ask them to write about their favorite sport.
