Time seems to go faster when we are reading interesting books. 当我们在阅读有趣书籍时,时间似乎过得更快。
seem 的用法有四点:
①sb./sth. + seem + (to be+)形容词。如:
She seems to be busy. 她看上去似乎很忙。
②sb./sth. + seem like + ... 如:
This area seems like another country. 这个区域看上去像别的国家。
③sb/sth + seem + to do sth. 如:
He seems to have found a job. 他似乎已经找到了工作。
④It seems that + 从句。如:
It seems that nobody else will do such a foolish thing. 好像没有别人会做出如此愚蠢的事情来。

during与in均可意为“....期间”,表示一段时间,有时可互换,但在用法上有区别:
during强调时间的延续,表示状态或习惯的动作,常用于表示行为要持续与季节名词连一段时间的stay,visit, meal 等名词之前;与季节名词连用表示特指。
in用于指一般性的某一时间,一般不用在表示行为要持续一段时间的名词前;与季节名词连用表示泛指

此句中的earlier是副词early的比较级。early既可以做形容词,也可以作副词。
