三、Learning procedures
Step 1. Warming-up
Greet students as usual.
First, show a picture of myself to raise students’ interest. Then tell students my big problem today. Let students to think about his/her problems in their daily life. Next, show a picture of Sad and Thirteen, let students find his problems from the first letter.
Step 2. Letter1
Scanning:
Read the first letter quickly, and find what Sad and Thirteen’s problems are about His family: his parents and elder brother.
Careful Reading
①Read the problem about his parents, and find one key word: fight/argue
②Read the problem about his elder brother, and find what kind of person his brother is Unfriendly and arbitrary.
Step 3. Letter2:
Scanning:
Read the second letter quickly, and find what the advice are from Mr Hunt
Careful Reading
Read the second letter carefully, and find the advice sentences in the letter.: ①You should…

Step 4. Group work:
I will show some pictures of Grief Grocery Store and tell students the post box which can collect people’s problems. Then let students write down their biggest problems and put them in my post box.
Then let every group choose one letter from the box. And see who is the lucky dog. Next, every group has a discussion about the problem. And write down their advice. Finally, every group choose one reporter to read their advice for us.
Step 6. Emotional theme
I will show students a funny video. From this video, we can know, face any problems, don’t worry, don’t be nervous, we should be more patient and flexible, and be positive to think of a view.
Step 7. Summary
Review the key sentences we have learned today.
Step 8. Homework
After class, ask you partners’ problem, and write some advice to him/her.
