本节课是义务教育教科书新目标英语七年级下册Unit5 Why do you like pandas 的一节听说课,本节课话题为“描述动物,并谈论对于动物的好恶及原因”,学习内容围绕“动物”这一主题展开,包含一些新单词,如tiger, elephant, koala, panda, lion, giraffe..., 新句型,如Why do you like... Because they’re ...。作为一节新授课,本节课将以在情境中练习词汇、短语和句型为出发点,以培养学生能用英语描述动物,并表达出自己对动物的好恶及原因为落脚点。本节课的基本句型和词汇难易适中,所以本节课会以拓展延伸和综合运用为主,在课堂上通过微课、头脑风暴、小组合作、角色扮演等方式培养学生的思维品质和语言表达能力。
Ⅱ.Student analysis
本节课教授的对象是七年级的学生,七年级上学期学生已经渡过了小升初的英语衔接阶段,对于初中英语的学习节奏和知识也已适应,对于本单元关于动物的词汇,学生也有一定的知识基础,但对于新的what/ why/where疑问句型,学生是新接触的,所以课堂中会采取不同的学习活动引导学生掌握和运用,最终,让学生水到渠成地形成“认真观察、理智思考”的思维品质、树立“勇于表达,关爱动物”的价值观。此外,为了让课程更贴合学生生活,我将用学生自己表演、拍摄的视频融入课堂中,不但轻松高效地表明活动任务,而且最大限度地调动了学生的积极性。

Step1: Warming-up
Greet students as usual.

A guessing game. Can you guess the right words from these numbers
Show the learning aims of the whole class.
Step2: Presentation1
Learn the key words
Show a micro-lesson(微课) about some lovely animals and the new words. And let students learn to read and spell these key words.
Practice
Play a game together. Show some pictures quickly, let students pat their desk and stand up to say: I like....
Learn some adjectives
Show some pictures and let students guess what the adjective is.
(cute/acary/lazy/smart/beautiful)
Learn some key sentences
①Show a picture of snake. Then lead students to learn:
—Why don’t you like snakes
— Because they’re scary.
②Show a picture of the world map. Then lead students to learn:
—Where are pandas from
—They are from China.
Step3: Listening
Listening twice and complete the chart.
① Listen and write the animals you hear.
②Draw a line from the animals to the description words and the
countries they are from.
