Unit 1 What’s he like 单元整体教学设计
单元主题:带领Oliver认识老师和同学
该主题属于“人与自我”和“人与社会”范畴,涉及“学校生活与个人感受”和“同伴交往,相互尊重,友好互助”。
教学理论
《2022年新课标》首次使用了“大观念”一词,强调“以学科大概念为核心,使课程内容结构化,以主题为引领,使课程内容情景化”。基于真实语言运用视角,分析教材内容与学生情况,确定学习发展的内容主题,初定真实任务(鲁子问,张荣干,2005)。确定单元大任务和具体的小任务。秉持真实语言运用的语言理念,围绕主题语境,依托语篇,联结英语课堂与真实生活,设计语言、思维、文化相融合的层次性学习活动,使学生在追求达成真实任务成果的过程中学习和尝试运用语言或非语言手段理解与表达意义,实现深度学习,从而培养文化意识,发展多元思维形成学习能力。基于学生学习视角,设定以达成真实任务成果为目标的学生学习过程,以及教师对学生任务成果达成和素养学习发展的相应支持引导过程(张荣干,2017),形成主题意义引领下基于真实任务的任务前、任务中、任务后等阶段及其环节的师生活动流程。
二、单元内容分析
本单元内容围绕着“带领Oliver认识老师和同学”这一主题展开,涉及六个语篇包括一节对话和词汇融合课、一节对话课、一节单词课,一节读写课,一节故事课和一节语音课,围绕着子话题“Meet our teachers”“Meet our classmates”“Meet our special friends”“The elephant and the pig”而展开。这些内容与学生的日常生活紧密相联,学生乐于学习,易于掌握。同时,这个话题又建立在之前所学单词和句型的基础上,让学生新旧结合,不断积累。
语篇一是一节词汇课,子话题是“Meet our classmates”,教材通过Amy向Oliver介绍班上的同学而展开,谈论班上同学的性格或品质特征,学会欣赏和尊重他人,树立正确的价值观。
语篇二属于子话题“Meet our teachers”是词汇和对话融合课。教材通过Wu Binbin向新同学Oliver介绍各科任老师的性格特征的情景,询问并回答关于某人物的性格及外貌特征的问题,引导学生树立正确的审美观,学会欣赏他人,尊重他人。
语篇三也是小学生日常生活对话。教材通过陈洁和John在谈论新来的语文老师Ms Wang的情景,灵活运用所学的句型谈论他人的外貌及性格特征,引导学生树立正确的审美观,学会欣赏他人,尊重他人。
语篇四是一节读写课,子话题是“Meet our special friends—Meet Robin”,教材通过日记的方式,向大家介绍机器人Robin的特征、能力、作用等方面,体会高科技产品带给日常生活的便利,鼓励学生大胆想象,创作自己心目中的“Special friend”
语篇五是一节对话课,继续围绕子话题“Meet our special friends”中认识故事人物展开,故事中Zoom和Zip与朋友们在操场上踢足球并谈论新体育老师,通过他们对体育老师外貌特征的预测与体育老师本人体型特征之间的差异,渗透并说明一个道理:不能以貌取人。
语篇六是一节语音课,子话题是“The elephant and the pig”,通过小象和老鼠一起玩耍的趣味故事,在活动的环节学习字母y在词尾发/i/的规律。
三、学情分析
五年级的学生已经学习过两年的英语,他们活泼好动、模仿能力强,能简单表达一些日常生活用语,对英语学习有着浓厚的兴趣。学生在在三年级下册有学习过一些描述人物外貌特征的词汇,如:tall, short, thin, fat等和句型Who’s that man Is he your father Yes, he is.在四年级的时候也学习过一些关于科目的单词,如:Chinese, maths, art, music,所以对于本单元的学习有一定的辅助作用。

第三课时:B Let's Talk
语篇研读
What: 本课时是本单元的第三节课,是一节对话课,教材通过陈洁与John在语文课前讨论新语文教师的情景展开对话。陈洁告知Ms Wang是新来的语文老师,并描述她的性格特点,后来才知道她是陈洁的妈妈,对话轻松有趣,容易带入情景。
Why: 学生能够根据人物的体貌和性格特征在情景中运用句型描述人物外表的句子,学会了解关心他人,树立正确的审美观,学会欣赏和尊重他人。
How: 本节课的对话内容分为两部分。第一部分是Let’s try,用于训练和提高学生听的能力;第二部分则是Let’s talk的对话内容,延续上面听力活动的语篇情景,继续讨论Ms Wang的人物性格,运用句型What’s he/she like He’s/ She’s...展开问答,最后迁移创新,谈谈身边老师和朋友的性格特点。
