1.定义:频度副词表示事情发生的频率,可用来回答how often引导的问句
2. 常见频率副词:
always>usually>often>sometimes > hardly ever (seldom) > never
3. 位置:
实义动词前面,be动词/助动词/情态动词后面
e.g. They hardly ever watch TV.
They are always late for school.

sometimes 频度副词 有时 表示动作发生的不经常性,多与一般现在时连用,对它提问用how often
some times 名词短语 几次;几倍 其中time是可数名词,意为“次,倍”,对它提问用how many times
sometime 副词 某个时候 表示某个不确切或不具体的时间,常用于过去式或将来时,对它提问用when
some time 名词短语 一段时间 句中谓语动词常为延续性动词,对它提问用how long

hardly 副词 意为“几乎不”
He hardly works.
hard 副词 意为“努力地;困难地;猛烈地” He works hard.

常用于“基数词+percent”结构

连词
意为“虽然;尽管;即使”,相当于though,引导让步状语从句。
同一句子中although 与but不能连用。

① 介词,意为“通过,靠”,表示方法、手段,其后接名词、代词或动词 -ing形式。
Mr. Green makes a living by teaching.
② by+交通工具,意为“乘/驾/坐……”
I went to Beijing by plane.
③ by+时间, 意为“到……时为止;在……以前”
I must be in bed by ten.
④ by+地点,意为“在……旁边”
We live by the sea.

意为“例如;像……一样”
多用于来列举同类人或事物中的几个。

maybe 或许;大概;可能 副词,作状语,常位于句首
may be 可能是 情态动词+动词原形结构,在句中作谓语

almost, nearly都是副词,意为“几乎,差不多”,almost之前不可用very,not等词修饰,但在no, none, never, nothing等否定词前可用almost。
There is almost nothing in the room.
The car is pretty nearly new.

be good for 对…有好处 Doing morning exercises is good for you.

at all 可位于句末,也可跟在否定词后。
It wasn’t difficult at all. 这一点也不难。
He isn’t tired at all.

口语中单独说 not at all, 可用来回答感谢或道歉。
A:Thank you very much. 多谢你了。
B:Not at all. 不客气

It is +adj. for sb. to do “对某人来说做某事是……的”,形容词表示事物的特征特点,如 easy, hard, important, impossible
It is +adj. of sb. to do 形容词表示人物的性格、品德,如 kind, nice, clever, foolish
Eg: It is important for us to learn English well.
It is kind of you to help me.
It is +adj. +to do
It’s good for us ________(play) sports every day.
