1. accept v. 接受；承认
【辨析】accept与receive 的区别
accept 动词, 意为“接受”, 表示接受，指心理上接受。多是接受抽象的东西, 如表扬、批评、道歉等。
receive 动词，意为“接收”, 表示收到，仅是表示收到, 接不接受是另一回事, 即被动地接收。多是接收实际的东西, 如信件、礼物等。
【一言辨异】He received the gift, but he didn’t accept.
他收到了礼物，但没有接受。
