What：本课语篇是小学生Mike 、John、 Sarah一行同学继续参观MacDonald的农场，参观养殖的动物，询问动物的名称，描述动物的特征。本语篇将学生喜爱的动物呈现出来，让学生明确了动物的名称，区分了易混淆的动物，如鸡和鸭，为学生增加了亲近自然的体验。
Why: 通过参观农场的家畜，帮助小学生了解家畜的生长环境，使学生思考人、动物、自然之间的关系，引导学生树立爱护自然环境的意识，提倡环保农场，绿色生活，体验大自然的美好。
