一.介词的用法
1. between
between表示“在……之间”,一般用于两者之间。如:
Louise sits between Jack and Lily.路易斯坐在杰克和莉莉之间。
I’m usually free between Tuesday and Friday,我常星期二至星期五之间有空。
2. along
along表示“沿着,顺着”。如:
They are walking along the river.他们正沿着河走。
3. beside
beside表示“在…的旁边”。如:
The dog is sitting beside an old man.这只狗正坐在一位老人的旁边。
4. into
into表示“进入”,指由外到内,常指动态,常与walk, run, fly, go, come等词连用。如:
He jumped into the river.他跳进了河里。
注意:in表示“在…内”,常指静态。如

Passage 1
One day, Mr Read and his son Robert go out for a walk. Mr Read puts on a pair of shoes together with a pair of different socks- one is white and the other is yellow. He comes out of his house. His son notices (注意 )the colours of his father’s socks and says, "You wear two different socks, Dad.”
Mr Read looks at his socks and finds that his son is right. He is happy and says, "What a clever son I get! " Then he asks his son to go back to the house to get another pair of socks for him. The son goes back to the house. He can only find (找到) one white sock and one yellow sock. Robert then takes the socks to his father and says, "These socks at home are also different, one yellow and one white.”

1. between
