I arrived in Penang in Malaysia this morning with my family. It was sunny and hot, so we decided to go to the beach near our hotel. My sister and I tried paragliding. I felt like I was a bird. It was so exciting! For lunch, we had something very special-Malaysian yellow noodles. They were delicious! In the afternoon, we rode bicycles to Georgetown. There are a lot of new buildings now, but many of the old buildings are still there. In Weld Quay, a really old place in Georgetown, we saw the houses of the Chinese traders from 100 years ago. I wonder what life was like here in the past. I really enjoyed walking around the town.

I arrived in Chengdu this morning with my parents. It was sunny and warm, so we decided to go for a walk near our hotel. We saw many pretty buildings and lots of good restaurants. For lunch, we had something spicy and delicious. I love Sichuan food! In the afternoon, we went to see pandas in the zoo. Pandas are my favorite animals because they’re so cute. I was happy to know people are trying their best to save these endangered animals. In the evening, we went shopping along Chunxi Road and bought something special. I really enjoyed this trip. We all had a great time.

(1)so...that...意为“如此……以至于……?”引导结果状语从句,so后跟形容词或副词。当that后的从句为肯定句时,可与enough...to...互换;当that后的从句为否定句时,可与too...to...互换。
She was so smart that she solved the problem quickly.
=She was smart enough to solve the problem quickly.
He was so angry that he couldn’t say a word.=He was too angry to say a word.
(2)拓展:so that表示“以便;为了”,引导目的状语从句。
She worked hard so that everything would be ready in time.
