Richard and Sonia Muller are a couple who make documentaries ( 纪录片) about wildlife, especially dangerous animals, like lions in Africa.
Richard grew up near a wildlife park. He spent almost all his free time playing there. As a child in South Africa, Sonia often ran off alone to play in the wild areas around her home. Her parents were quite worried about her. The couple first met in a university in Cape Town, and quickly they realised they had so much in common. They were both interested in the natural world and they both liked film-making. That's why they chose to be film-makers.
The excitement of Sonia's work comes from not knowing what will happen, perhaps even discovering something new for science. But Richard takes most interest in spending time with animals, getting to know their characters. When asked what they find hardest about their work, Sonia and Richard have the same answer — leaving an area when finishing a project.
The couple visit schools around the world. They give reports and inspire students to study climate (气候), animals, culture, etc. to understand different environments well. “You should watch nature yourself instead of (而不是) searching for information on the Internet,” they said.
For students who want to be a film-maker like him, Richard suggests studying different areas of biology ( 生物) instead of learning about the latest film-making technology ( 技术). He said an understanding of the natural world will never be forgotten. The couple also give advice on wildlife protection. They want people to act quickly to stop more animals from disappearing (消失) from the planet.

4th September Saturday
My parents weren’t at home today. They went to visit their friends and will not come back until tomorrow morning. I was alone at home all day.
I got up early in the morning and cooked breakfast for myself. After finishing my homework, I went to the stadium to play basketball with my friends. We enjoyed ourselves very much. Then we had lunch together at a restaurant. The food was so delicious that I ate a lot. In the afternoon, I did some housework, such as cleaning the rooms and washing my clothes. Though I didn’t do very well, I felt happy. That's because I can share some housework with my parents. After dinner, I read a book about Chinese history.
Although I was busy all day long, I looked after myself well and managed my time well. I am proud of myself.
