1.on weekends 在周末
表示时间的介词有on,in,at。
on用于某日，周几或特定的某个上午、下午或晚上；in用于周、季、年、世纪，一天中的早、中、晚；at 用于几点钟、黎明、黄昏、中午、半夜。
2.hardly ever 几乎从不
hardly ever为频度副词。
She hardly ever calls me.
【拓展】常见的频度副词有：always(总是)；usually(通常)；often(经常);
sometimes(有时)；never(从不)。它们所表示的频率由高到低依次为:
always→usually→often→sometimes→hardly→ever→never。
3.help with homework帮助做家务
(1)help在此作动词，意为“帮助”，常用于短语help sb.(to) do sth.中，
意为“帮助某人做某事”，相当于help sb. with sth.。
(2)housework 名词，意为“家务劳动”，
常用于短语do housework中，意为“做家务”。
4.twice a week一周两次
twice是副词，意为“再次；两次”。

【辨析】how long与how many times
(1)how long多长时间（用于询问动作延续时间的长短）。
(2)how many times多少次（用于询问次数）。
6.辨析sometimes,some times,sometime与some time
(1)sometimes频度副词，意为“有时”。表示动作发生的不经常性，
多与一般现在时连用，它可位于句首、句中或句末，对它提问用how often。

(2)some times名词短语，意为“几次；几倍”。其中time是可数名词，对它提问用how many times。

(3)sometime副词，意为“某个时候”。表示某个不确切或不具体的时间，常用于过去时或将来时，对它提问用when。
