1. way和不同的词连用可以表示不同的意思，下面我们来熟悉一些与它相关的常用短语。

通过观察上面的例句，我们可以看出：
1) on one’s / the way (to) 可以用来表示“在(去)……的路上”，one’s用________________ (形容词性物主代词 / 名词性物主代词)表示，这里的to是介词，若它后面跟名词时，to必须____ (保留 / 省略)，若它后面跟副词时，to必须 ____ (保留 / 省略)。
