Teaching process
Step One Leading in
a. Greetings.
b. Warming-up.
c. Divide the Ss into two groups.
d. Leading in
T:How many days are there in a week
Ss: Seven.
T:How many seasons are there in a year Season means 季节.
Ss: Four.
T:What are they
Ss:春夏秋冬
T:Look at here, I have a beautiful picture. What can you see in the picture
Ss: I can see...
T:Is it beautiful
Ss: Yes, it’s very beautiful.
T: It’s spring. I like spring very much. Because I can enjoy the beautiful flowers ,see the green grass ,hear the birds singing, see the trees dancing ,and most of all ,I can fly kites.(Show a kite and act)
So, today we are going to learn Unit2 Spring is coming!(Write down the title)
Step Two New presentation
a. Ss think and group in small groups and get to a conclusion.
b. Ss show their answers.
c. Teach the new words.
Teacher shows pictures on PPT ,ask some questions, such as,
What can you see in the picture
What color is it
Is it beautiful
What is the time in a year
Yes it’s spring.
T:Everybody,Sit up and say
Ss: ABC
T:Follow me! Spring, spring. Explain the pronunciation. Read it from a lower voice to the loudest voice. Read it from the loudest voice to the lowest voice. Boys and girls stand up and read. Pick a student to read. Let’s chant.

Spring, spring, she likes spring.
Spring, spring, we like spring.
Spring, spring, they like spring.
T:Use the same way to teach the following words, summer, autumn ,winter and season.
Step Three Consolidation
a. Play a game “Radish down” to consolidate the new learned words.
b. Practice the phrases in the sentence pattern.
T:What can you see in the picture
Ss: I can see a kite and some trees.
T:So,in spring, what can you do
Ss: I can fly a kite and plant trees.
T:What can you do in summer
Ss: I can .go swimming and eat ice-creams.
T:What can you do in autumn
Ss: I can pick apples and ride a bike.
T:What can you do in winter
Ss: I can make snowmen and throw snowballs.
b. Practice the sentence patterns, -

Step Four Practice
a. Ss and teacher so the conversations together.
b. Ss write down their own conversations in pairs and have a performance.
c. Play a game----Read and judge. If the sentence is true. Ss say, Yeah Yeah
Yeah and nod. If the sentence is false, Ss say No No No and wave hands.
d. Let’s love nature and love our lives. So we can together to plant a tree on our earth. Please write down your words on a piece of paper and post it on the blackboard. Step Five,
Homework
a. Draw a picture of your favorite season and try to describe it.(画一张你最喜欢的季节图画,并尝试着描述一下。)
b. Do a survey and ask your family members about their favorite seasons and the reasons.(做一个调查,询问家庭成员最爱的季节以及原因。)
