Teaching aims:
1. Student can learn and master some sentences :
I live in a village far from the city. It is small, but very beautiful.
In ...,there are many ...and talk about their home with each other。
2. Mainly improve students’ communicative abilities and encourage them to speak more English.
3. Train students to have deep love for their home。
Teaching important points:
Students can master and use these sentences

Teaching difficult points:
How to use words into sentences, and communicate with each other in the real life.
Teaching and learning method:
Make the students take part in class, and talk in groups. I will use communicative method, discussing method, and seeing and hearing method to teach this unit.
Teaching procedures:
Step1. 课程导入
ⅰ. 课前回顾(have a revision)
学生在PPT的引导下,对上节课的所有单词做以回顾,尤其是tomatoes,potatoes的复习。
ⅱ. 新课导入(leading-in)
通过师生问答提前感知本节课的内容,为后面新句型的学习打好基础,让学生能快速掌握如何对居住地及其环境进行流利的表述和问答。如:Where is your home
Step2. 课程展示活动和过程的设计建议(Presentation)
ⅰ. 新课展示Part A Let’s talk
1. 教师出示Let’s talk 部分的人物图片,和学生交流:
T:(教师出示Liu Zhaoyang的图片)Do you know who he is
Ss: He is Liu Zhaoyang.
T:(教师出示游客的图片)Do you know who he is
Ss: Sb say tourist, sb say they don’t know.
T: I don’t know his name, either. But I know he is a tourist.
(教师在这里可向学生解释tourist的意思是“游客”)
2. 听力理解:教师播放Let’s talk部分的录音,让学生听录音,整体感知对话。在听的时候,教师可以出示四个问题,提醒学生结合问题听对话。
Questions
(1)Where does Liu Zhaoyang live
(2)Does the tourist live in the city
(3)Is the village big
(4) What does the tourist have in September and October
3. 教师处理疑难点,如:many kinds of表示“很多种”,其后可接可数名词复数,也可接不可数名词。并引导学生练习运用,如:many kinds of fruits, many kinds of animals, many kinds of tea等
Step3. 巩固活动 (practice)
1. Students will read by themselves and retell by their own words.
2.read and fill in the blank.
3.say sth about their homes.
Step4.总结及作业(summary and homework)
Do you love your home?Which one do you like better,village or city?
East or west,home is the best.
Let’s chant
Home…
Home is a place …
(设计意图:Use a chant to summarize the lesson to make it easy to remember the emotion in this lesson. At the same time,it can make the students interested in English.)
Read the passage with the tape, and pay more attention to your pronunciation.
