Teaching ： Step 1 Warming up/ Lead-in 1. Introduce the competition between boys and girls. 2. Brain storming: What can you buy as presents 3. Make a summary of the key words and expressions. 4: Think about it: Decide the presents for people in the case, lead out the reason. Step 2 Reading 1. Fast reading 2. Detail reading1: choosing the correct answers. 3. Detail reading 2: likes and choice Step 4 Reading aloud Read aloud: Students read after the tape and then read by themselves for 3 minutes. Retell the passage. Step 5 Moral guidance: As a present, it doesn’t need to be expensive, but a right one. Step6 Writing and presentation Discussion and writing Report 设计意图： 1.介绍今天谈论的话题，引入竞争机制，让学生积极参与课堂讨论； 2.通过头脑风暴给予学生开放式的表现机会；进一步了解学生对该话题的已有知识；引导学习气氛； 3. 对输出需要用到的词汇和表达做一个汇总并学习其中的表达； 3. 阅读案例，根据理解为当事人选礼物, 引出人们选礼物的通常理由。 对文章做整体的阅读有利于把握文章的结构，以便于对具体信息的提取更加快速； 通过细节信息的阅读和选择扫除理解障碍； 搭建逻辑思维方式，形成重点句型表达框架。 朗读和复述是为学生的最后以文段方式输出打好基础的步骤。 情感素养引导：好的礼物不一定要贵，合适的才是最好的。 学生根据实际情况征求大家的意见： -- My father likes…What presents should I choose for … —I think …is a present for … 展示学生写作 学生活动： 1. 学生通过句型框架的帮助用完整的句子表达自己对这一话题的想法，并且复习了已有的词汇和输入与此话题相关的新词汇； 2. 了解了两个名词组成的名词词组，前一个作后一个的形容的情况； 3. 明确选择礼物的一般依据。 1. 快速阅读并对找到的信息做好标注； 2. 细节信息提取和理解； 3．通过提取信息填入表格，形成选择礼物基于某人爱好的逻辑思维，通过脚手架式的句型提示训练重点句型的表达: Daming’s grandparents like doing…, so we’d like to choose…for them as presents. 开口朗读课文并通过挖空方式对文段做复述，准备具体运用：感恩节为家人挑选礼物。 学生从内心和观念中重塑对物质和金钱的概念，认识到合适而不是越贵才好。 学生就为家人选择礼物展开讨论，讨论过程中使用给出的重点句子； 当堂展示写作作品，老师评价。
