一般过去时的基本用法 :
一般过去时表示过去某个时间发生的动作或存在的状态,也可表示过去经常或反复发生的动作。
时间状语连用:
yesterday, last week, last night, in 2003, two days ago
be 动词和实义动词过去式的构成:
⑴ 系动词be 的过去式有两种形式:was 和 were。
其中 was 是 am 和 is 的过去式,were 是 are 的过去式。
⑵ 规则动词过去式的构成:
①一般在动词末尾加—ed 。 如:walk→walked play→played ②以不发音 e 结尾的动词末尾只加—d 。如:love→loved decide→decided ③结尾是“辅音字母+y ”的动词。先将 y 变为 i ,再加—ed 。
如:study→ studied carry→carried
④以 1 个元音字母加 1 个辅音字母结尾的重读闭音节,双写最后一个辅音字母如:stop→ stopped plan→planned
3 、动词过去式的读音
a .在浊辅音和元音后读[d] ,如 lived, watered, listened, played。
b .在清辅音后读[t] ,如 liked, helped, watched。
c .在[t], [d]音后读[Id] ,如 planted, wanted, handed(上交)。
4 、一般过去时的基本结构
⑴ 肯定句:主语+was/were+其他 主语+动词过去式+其他
⑵ 否定句:主语+wasn’t/weren’t+其他 主语+didn’t+动词原形+其他
⑶ 一般疑问句:Was/Were+主语+其他?
肯定回答为“Yes ,主语+was/were” 。否定回答为“No ,主语+wasn’t/weren’t”。
Did+主语+动词原形+其他?
肯定回答为“Yes ,主语+did” 否定回答为“No ,主语+didn’t.
⑷ 特殊疑问句:特殊疑问词+ 一般疑问句 (顺序) ?

there be结构的一般过去时态的用法:
there was/were 是there be结构的过去式,表示的是“过去存在某人或某物”。
there was后面接可数名词单数形式或不可数名词,
there were 后面接可数名词复数形式。
☆在there be句型中, 遵循“就近原则”.例如:
There was a pen and some books near the computer.
在电脑旁边有一支钢笔和一些书。
There were some crayons and a knife in my bag.
我的包里有一些蜡笔和一把小刀。
句式变换
1)There was/were变成否定句,只要在was/were后面加“not”,
其结构为“There was/were not……”,可缩写为 there wasn't, there weren't.
注意:把some 改成any,and变成or
2)There was/were的一般疑问句:
把was/were提到句首,把some改成 any.
肯定回答用 Yes, there was/were;
否定回答用 No, there wasn't/weren't

What 修饰名词或名词短语,有以下两种结构:
①What + a/an(+形容词)+可数名词单数+主语+谓语!例如:
What a fine day it is! 多么晴朗的一天!
②What (+形容词) + 可数名词复数/不可数名词+主语+谓语!例如:
What kind people they are! 多么善良的人们!
What nice music it is! 多么美妙的音乐!
how 引导感叹句的用法:
How 用来修饰形容词、副词,其结构是:how+形容词/副词+主语+谓语
例如:多么聪明的男孩! ___How _ clever___ the boy is!
男孩写得多么快 How quickly the boy is writing!
