单元主题意义 本单元的主题属于“人与社会 ”范畴，本单元是《新目标英语》系列教材之一!第二单元的内容，本单元介绍了国内外不同的节日，文化气息浓郁，教学内容丰富。本单元一同学们熟悉的传统节日开始，而且八年级已经学过一些相关的内容，素材来源于学生生活，同学们就有表达的欲望和诉求。而教材中Section B又围绕西方的两个节日展开，侧重两个节日的文化内涵，让学生更深层次地理解西方文化。这也激发了学生的学习兴趣，提高了他们的学习效率。 通过对本单元的学习，最终使学生能够明白关爱、同情及怜悯之心是人类社会的宝贵财富，人人应当将之继承及弘扬，以爱心汇报社会；同时，通过中西方文化差异对比，树立文化自信。
单元教学目标 通过本单元的学习，学生能够： 目标a：学习理解层面，学生能够通过听、说、读、写更深层次地理解中西放文化，并通过学习树立文化自信，增强国家情怀，形成结构行知识。 目标b：应用实践层面，学生能够使用与节日相关的词语、使用宾语从句和感叹句表达自己的观点和态度。 目标c：迁移创新层面，通过学习有关“节日”的文章，从而学习如何向他人介绍我国传统文化，书写“说明文”弘扬和传播传统文化。 目标d：迁移创新层面，完成本单元学习后，学生能够意识到关爱、同情及怜悯之心是人类社会的宝贵财富，人人应当将之继承及弘扬，以爱心回报社会。 与核心素养的关系： 在大单元主题理念下，将本单元碎片化的知识以“子主题”形式有效整合，是落实英语学科素养的有效手段，通过本单元的学习，在语言能力方面，学生能够使用词汇、宾语从句、感叹句来表达观点和态度；在文化意识方面，通过中西方节日的对比，学生能够正确认识中西方文化差异，增加家国情怀，树立文化自信；在学习能力方面，学生能够通过网络提前搜集节日相关信息，构建知识体系，并且能在理解故事内容的基础上，对情节发展和人物性格做处合理的推论；在思维品质方面，学生能够意识到关爱，同情及怜悯之心是人类社会的宝贵财富，人人应当将之继承及弘扬，以爱心回报社会。

Section B 2a-2e 阅读课 第四课时 学生能够意识到关爱、同情及怜悯之心是人类社会的宝贵财富，人人应当将之继承及弘扬，以爱心回报社会；体会到善良与爱心的重要性。 通过问题启发式评价引导学生从整体到具体的认识，并提取关键信息完成思维导图，评价学生对文本第一段的理解和信息提取能力；通过读文章，定位、获取、整合信息，评价学生对文章第二段的理解和信息整合的能力；通过对话编写和角色表演进行口头输出，并通过书面表达的形式，评价学生对句型的掌握

教材（语篇）分析： 【what】 本节课是一节阅读课。 【why】 首先通过头脑风暴使学生说出尽可能多的中国传统节日，在引出一些西方常见的节日，然后让学生讨论，之后进入阅读提取必要信息，读后价钱练习，进一步巩固。 【how】 通过2a-2e一系列的活动，训练学生能通过阅读获取所需要的信息， 训练阅读的寻读策略，提高学生们的综合阅读能力。
学情分析： 自然情况 经过了本单元的前面你内容的学习后，学生已应该由了一些储备。 （二）已有基础 学生阅读能力较以前有所提高。 （三）存在问题
阅读整合能力还需加强。 （四）解决措施 训练学生对于阅读提取信息要有一个整体的思路。
教学目标： 通过本课学习，学生能够： 学生能学会重点词汇及目标语言 （学习理解） 重点单词及短语：Christmas , punish , warn , novel , business , spread , the spirit of , warn sb to do sth 目标语言：Scrooges sees that he is dead , but nobody cares . He is so scared that he wakes up in his bed and finds out it is only the next morning -Christmas Day ! 能通过阅读提取所需要的必要信息。 （应用实践） 训练阅读的寻读策略，使用词典的学习策略。 （迁移创新）
