Teaching procedures Step 1 Prepare activities Greet all students with their English names (Ask all students to wear their business cards, just like teachers do) while having them repeat their names and try to remember their names. Step 2 Present Show different letters on the slide pictures and see if they can read them. First uppercase, then lowercase. Step 3 Learn the letters. 1. Listen and repeat the eight letters. 1. Put all capital letters in order. 2. Find the uppercase letters of these lowercase letters. 3. Listen and number the letters they hear. 4. Teach them how to write these small letters. 5. Each large letter corresponds to a small letter. Step 4 Play the game. (Which letter is missing ) Show the seven capital letters on the slide picture (starting with A-H) and see who can find the missing letters. Then show seven little letters. Students play games in groups of four. Each person should have two sheets of paper with seven uppercase letters and seven lowercase letters on them. Step 5: New teaching Show some letters and ask the students to read them first and guess what they stand for. If they have trouble, I can give them some hints. Step 6 Complete Part A Have students discuss and guess what the letters stand for, then check the answers with the class. Step 7 Present First, show the students eight names on the pictures on the slide and have them read aloud. Then put them in the order of the first letter. Step 8 Complete 4a Listen and circle the names they hear. Practice step 9 In groups of four, students introduce their English names first. Then practice to each other "Good morning,..." like the conversation they just heard on the tape. homework 1. Copy the eight letters five times. 2. Find as many letters as you can like HB, CD, BBD.
