1.as...as...
意为“和……一样……”,表示同级比较。第一个as是副词，后接形容词或副词的原级。第二个as 是连词，后面可接名词、代词或句子作为比较的对象，其后若接人称代词，主格与宾格均可。其否定式为not as/so…as…,意为“不如……;和……不一样……”。如:
He is as tall as I(am)/me.他
和我一样高。
I'm not as/so outgoing as she (is)/her.我不如她外向。
【拓展】not as/so…as…可与比较级进行同义句转换。如：
This room is not as/so big as that one.=That room is bigger than this one.这个房间不如那个大。
2. friendly
形容词，意为“友好的”。其比较级为friendlier。常用短语:be friendly to…对……友好。如:
The old man is very friendly to us.这个老人对我们很友好。
【拓展】某些名词后加上-ly可构成形容词。如：
month→monthly;mother→motherly;week→weekly;day→daily
3. two years ago
意为“两年前”。“一段时间+ago”表示“……以前”,常与一般过去时态连用。
【拓展】“in +一段时间”表示“……之后(之内)”，常与一般将来时连用。
4. Who is smarter, your mother or your father 谁更聪明，你妈妈还是你爸爸
(1)这是一个形容词比较级的句型，其结构为：疑问词+be+形容词比较级,A or B 。
(2)句中or 为连词,意为“或者；还是”，用于选择疑问句中，连接并列成分。当并列成分为三个或三个以上时，前面的并列词都用逗号隔开， or 只连接最后两个。or还可用于否定句或连接两个并列的句子，分别意为“也不”，“否则”。

语法——比较级
(一)形容词、副词比较级表示 者之间的比较。
1. Brant 比Tom高。 Brant is taller than Tom.
2.我的连衣裙比她的漂亮。 My dress is more beautiful than hers.
3. Tina很瘦,但Tara 更瘦。 Tina is very thin, but Tara is thinner.
(二)形容词、副词比较级的构成
构成方法 原级→比较级
单音节词和部分双音节词 一般在形容词、副词词尾加＿ long—longer
以辅音字母+y结尾的单词,变y为_加_ happy—happierfriendly—friendlier
以不发音的字母e结尾的直接加 nice—nicer
重读闭音节词词尾只有一个辅音字母时，先＿该辅音字母再加＿ thin—thinnerbig—bigger
多音节词和部分非多音节词 多音节词和以-ing、-ed、-ful、-less、-ous等结尾的非多音节词前加＿ outgoing—more outgoingtired—more tireduseful—more useful
