单元主题:Means of transportation and traffic rules
该主题属于“人与社会”范畴,涉及“交通法规与安全意识”和“社会服务与人际沟通”。
教学理论
《2022年新课标》首次使用了“大观念”一词,强调“以学科大概念为核心,使课程内容结构化,以主题为引领,使课程内容情景化”。基于真实语言运用视角,分析教材内容与学生情况,确定学习发展的内容主题,初定真实任务(鲁子问,张荣干,2005)。确定单元大任务和具体的小任务。秉持真实语言运用的语言理念,围绕主题语境,依托语篇,联结英语课堂与真实生活,设计语言、思维、文化相融合的层次性学习活动,使学生在追求达成真实任务成果的过程中学习和尝试运用语言或非语言手段理解与表达意义,实现深度学习,从而培养文化意识,发展多元思维形成学习能力。基于学生学习视角,设定以达成真实任务成果为目标的学生学习过程,以及教师对学生任务成果达成和素养学习发展的相应支持引导过程(张荣干,2017),形成主题意义引领下基于真实任务的任务前、任务中、任务后等阶段及其环节的师生活动流程。
二、单元内容分析
本单元内容围绕Means of transportation and traffic rules这一主题展开,涉及五个语篇包括一节对话课,一节词汇课,一节对话和词汇融合课、一节说明文读写课和一节配图故事课。
语篇一是一节对话课。教材中Amy和Mike早晨到校后偶遇Mrs Smith并谈论他们平常到学校来的交通方式,引导学生选择合适的出行方式。
语篇二是一节词汇课,属于子话题“Means of transportation”。通过Mrs Smith和学生们谈论去自然公园的交通方式引导学生了解不同的交通方式。
语篇三是一节对话和词汇融合课,内容围绕谈论交通规则而展开。Wu Binbin爷爷生病住院了,他要知道如何到达医院,于是向Mr Jones打听如何去医院,Mr Jones告诉他乘坐57路公交车并提醒他别闯红灯和必须注意交通信号灯。
语篇四是一节说明文读写课,继续围绕子话题“Means of transportation”展开,通过描述不同地区的孩子选择不同的上学交通方式引导学生尊重不同的交通方式并珍惜当下便捷生活。
语篇五是一节配图故事课,通过Annie乘飞机来中国看望Amy感受到中西方饮食差异和交通规则差异,以故事的形式复习知识,同时延伸中西方文化差异。
三.学情分析——知识基础、认知(心理)特点、生活经验等
经过三年的英语学习,六年级的学生已经有了一定的英语学习基础,且基础较扎实。本单元的教学主题是Means of transportation and traffic rules。主要学习how引导的询问出行方式的句型,以及频度副词和一些简单的交通工具,如car, bike...等已有相关了解和信息。在日常生活中,六年级的学生也积累了一些交通安全知识,如红灯停、绿灯行、黄灯亮了等一等;出行靠右边;礼让行人等。

一、语篇研读
What:本课是一节词汇和对话融合课,内容围绕谈论交通规则而展开。Wu Binbin要去医院看望生病住院的爷爷,但他不知道如何到达医院,于是向Mr Jones打听怎么去医院,Mr Jones告诉他乘坐57路公交车并提醒他别闯红灯和必须注意交通信号灯。
Why:该语篇通过Wu Binbin和Mr Jones的对话来帮助学生辨识生活中常见的交通标志和自觉遵守交通规则的意识。
How:该对话涉及谈论遵守交通规则的词汇,如slow down, stop, wait, go, pay attention to , helmet, must,traffic lights ; 谈论交通规则时使用的核心语言,如“Slow down and stop at a yellow light. Stop and wait at a red light. Go at a green light. Don’t go at the red light. In the USA people on bikes must wear a helmet. I/You must pay attention to the traffic lights.”在表达时使用的都是一般现在时,学生在前面的课程中已经熟练掌握该时态。
二、教学目标
通过本课时学习,学生能够:
1.在看、听、读、说的活动中,认读短语helmet, pay attention to,must, wear,Slow down and stop at a yellow light. Stop and wait at a red light. Go at a green light.能理解对话大意,能够在任务情景中运用句型…must…和Don’t ...表达要遵守的交通规则,达到简单的交际。(学习理解)
2.在教师的帮助下,分角色表演对话;在情景中运用句型表述要遵守的交通规则以及在何种场合(应用实践)
3.辨认一些常见的交通标志,了解并遵守交通规则。(迁移创新)
