【教学过程】 Step1. Warming up Watch a video about Carol’s school trip yesterday. Step 2. Pre-reading Show the pictures of the new words and have students get familiar with the key words in the dialogue. Step 3. Pre-reading Read the dialogue quickly and answer the questions. What did Lisa do on the weekend How many kinds of butterflies are there in the house Why did Paul stay up late Step 4. While-reading Talk about Lisa and Paul’s weekend using adjectives. Talk about “what, when, who, why, where, why” in the dialogue. Step 5. Post-reading Show some key grammar points. Listen to the tape and follow. Pay attention to the tones, intonation and stress. Step 6. Exercises Let Ss finish activity 3a, fill in the blanks with who, what, when, where or how. plete the passage with the correct forms of the words in the box. Pairwork. Draw what you did last weekend and let others guess. Step 7. Summary Ask ss what they have learned today.
