Brian is on his way to meet Danny. They are going to see a movie downtown. Danny wrote out the directions for Brian on a piece of paper.
布赖恩正在去见丹尼的路上。他们要去市中心看电影。丹尼在一张纸上为布莱恩写下了方向。
Because Brian doesn't know the way to the movic theatre. “Let’s see,” Brian says as he reads the paper.
因为布赖恩不知道去电影院的路。“让我们看看,”布赖恩一边看报纸一边说。
“Oh no! How will I fnd the movie theatre ” says Brian. Brian starts walking. He stops at the coffee shop and gets a donut.
Then he crosses the street. He walks past the grocery store and finds a park, There are lots of trees in the park.
然后他穿过街道。他走过杂货店,发现了一个公园。公园里有很多树。
“This must be it," Brian says to himself. But it's the wrong park. It doesn't have a cherry tree.
“一定是这样,”布赖恩自言自语。但这是错误的公园。它没有樱桃树。
“Oh no! This is not funny, Danny! I'm lost!” Then Brian sees a lady. She is walking down the street.
“哦,不!这一点都不好笑,丹尼!我迷路了!”然后布赖恩看到了一位女士。她正沿着街道走着。
“Excuse me”he says."
“ Can you tell me the way to the movie theatre ”
Yes," says the lady. “ Go down this street. ”
“对不起”他说。"“你能告诉我去电影院的路吗?”“是的,”女士说,“沿着这条街走。”
Turn right at the second crossing. From there, you can see the movie theatre. “Thank you very much,” says Brian

Five minutes later Brian arrives at the entrance of the theatre

as 作连词,引导时间状语从句时,表示“在……期间,当……的时候;一边……一边”。

【辨析】
through指通过洞、门、管道等,表示“贯通、直穿、透过、穿过”的意思,即从一头(边)贯穿到另一头(边)。
Walk through the park.穿过公园。

【辨析】through和across
must 在此处的意思是“一定……”, 表推测,一般只用于肯定句中。
表示对现在情况的推测用“must + do”;表示对过去情况的推测用
“must + have done”。
“This must be it,” Brian says to himself.

He must be at home now,because his car is parked in front of his house.
他现在一定在家,因为他的车就停在房子前面。

say to oneself
意思是“心中暗想,自言自语”。
lost是 lose的过去式和过去分词, 在这里是形容词,意思是“丢失的,迷路的”。be lost in 意思是“沉浸在……,全神贯注于……”。
